Dr. Charles Richard Braga, DDS

Paul Silver, D.M.D., P.A.

Dr. Silver founded the Practice in 1978 after graduating from Tufts Dental School in Boston. He named the practice after the Lamprey River which flows through town near the Dental Center. Dr. Silver believes in the benefits of practicing in a group rather than alone. Lasers have been a big part of his patient care for fifteen years and he is now a Certified Laser Instructor. He teaches Laser Science and Surgery in the US and Canada and in his Raymond training center located upstairs over the Dental Practice.
Dr. Silver graduated from West Point and served 30 years in the Army both active duty and in the Reserves. He is married, has four children, six grandchildren and loves family and family dentistry.
Dr. Caldwell
Dr. Caldwell grew up in Michigan, graduated from Boston College and also received a Master of Arts
degree from the University of Virginia. He obtained his dental and orthodontic training from the
University of …Michigan, and also completed a one-year hospital-based general practice residency in
Oakland, California. Since 1982, Dr. Caldwell has maintained an orthodontic specialty practice in
Derry.
He and his wife, Brenda, have two children. He enjoys travel, skiing, hiking, sea-kayaking, music, and reading.
Carolyn Shreck, D.D.S.
(General Dentist) with assistant Sue
Dr. Shreck joined the practice in 2003. She came to us after having worked three years with community health centers in Worthington & Huntington, Massachusettes. She served four years with the United States Navy as a dentist and an officer aboard the USS Kitty Hawk and a one year hospital residency at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.
Dr. Shreck enjoys life with her husband and four dogs.
Deborah Varney, D.M.D.
Dr. Deborah Varney is an alumna of Lamprey Dental Associates and has
rejoined our staff in August 2009. She previously worked with us from
1998-2001.
She received her DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental
Medicine. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New Hampshire
Dental Society and the New England Dental Society.
She is married with two children. This New Hampshire born and raised dentist
enjoys gardening, small craft projects, recycling and spending time with her
family.
Charles R. Braga, DMD, MMSC
(Periodontist)
Dr. Braga graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1994 from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He completed a residency and earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Periodontics and a Master of Medical Sciences Degree in Oral Biology. At Harvard, he engaged in dental research which included new drug development for improving and understanding the oral health needs of cancer patients and the elderly. Dr. Braga is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology and an elected member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He holds awards for excellence in periodontics from the American Academy of Periodontology and Quintessence Publishing.
Dr. Braga enjoys travel, politics, political debate, information sciences, reading, and maintaining close ties with friends in Germany and Austria.
