Dr. Charles Beaufo Brill, MD

Dr. Brill was a resident at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City when my daughter came to the hospital to have surgery because she could not stand flat-footed. Under anesthesia, Dr. Brill was able to get her feet flat and put both feet in a plaster cast. Dr. Brill insisted on Genetic counseling and diagnosed me and my entire family by asking questions about our family life and paying attention to the answers. My daughter would still require surgery but that could wait until she was a teenager and hopefully could understand the process better.

Dr Brill is exactly like Doc Martin on the PBS show of the same name. What a shame!

I brought my 14 month old to see Dr. Brill. He did not explain anything he was doing or offer an explanation of his findings. Thank goodness for his nice physician's assistant to pick up the pieces. At one point, my 14 month old was getting upset with the light he was shinning in her eyes and she reached up for me. I told her "It's ok hunny." Dr. Brill rudely interrupted, "No it's not!" I don't plan on ever bringing my daughter to him again and hope I can see another physician if follow-up is needed in the future.

Dr Brill was very unprofessional. My daughter is 15 and he reduced her to tears. He was not sensitive to her needs and not aware of how uncomfortable he made her feel. His exam took over an hour, and in our opinion, he asked redundant questions. The more my daughter pulled back and became quiet because she did not like Dr Brill, the more he pushed her to talk to him. Dr. Brill should either stick with teaching or retire. It was a complete waste of an afternoon. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me.
