Dr. Charles Michael Cawley, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Cawley since 2002 when I had a very large brain aneurysm and was taken by ambulance to Emory where Dr. Cawley and his very competent and caring staff saved my life. Seven years later, my twin sister also had a brain aneurysm but hers had ruptured. She was on a gurney at her small county hospital's ER because her hospital could not find a room for her anywhere in Georgia. I asked the ER Dr to call Dr. Cawley and within one hour she was rushed to Emory where he saved her life too. I've read the other reviews here and don't know what anyone else's circumstances are but I defend Dr. Cawley when it comes to his background. The way I see it is that he had the means to take it easy in life or make a difference and he sacrifices every day to be with his patients instead of his family, he studied for years when he could have been on a beach somewhere. Just recently I was experiencing double vision and was concerned about another aneurysm. He and his amazing… staff were right there for me. Thankfully, I do not have another aneurysm. But I did rediscover that he is STILL working hard to provide the best care possible. I highly recommend him and the staff at Emory.

I was sent Emory Hospital from Columbus Georgia after being diagnosed with a Cerebral Aneurysm, Dr. Cawley was able to perform the Coiling procedure. He spent a lot of time with me at bedside at Emory as well as follow up appointment. At my follow-up I did not even get the chance to sit down and the staff called my name to see him. Thank you Dr. Cawely you saved my life!

Was referred to him from a neurologist in south Georgia after I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. Was seen by Dr. Cawley quickly. He had the expertise needed for my case. He made accurate diagnosis, and scheduled repair quickly. Follow up was complete until resolution of aneurysm.

The most dishonest physician I have ever come across. He is a disgrace to his profession.

Due to Cawley's lack of skill, I am permanently disabled and very limited use of my left hand. He is one of the most arrogant and egotistical men I've ever met. After the damage he did, I went to another neurosurgeon, one of the best in Atlanta. Cawley can't come close to the skills of the surgeon I am now going to. He doesn't have much to worry about because he comes from great wealth. Stay away from this guy.

Dr Cawley is an excellent doctor
