Dr. Charles Hamilton Dabbs, MD

For months I had been struggling with unknown, undiagnosed health issues. I truly felt like I was crazy. Then, at the beginning of May 2019, I fell extremely ill. After consult with my family physician, she felt I may need to have my gallbladder removed, and I was referred to Dr. Dabbs. Upon my first meeting with Dr. Dabbs, I felt heard and validated. For several years I had been dealing with strange symptoms, that often proved to be benign based on various medical testing. Dr. Dabbs immediately told me, “You’re not crazy. I’m certain your gallbladder needs to be removed.” I was skeptical, but at this point, after many years of constantly feeling terrible, I was willing to have surgery. He was 100% correct. After my surgery, Dr. Dabbs informed my husband that his suspicions were correct, my gallbladder, based on it’s size and appearance, was chronically inflamed and enlarged. What a relief! Dr. Dabbs knowledge and intuition changed my life. I’m currently 5 weeks post-op, and I can… firmly, truthfully say, my life has changed. I feel amazing! I had know idea how awful I had been feeling, for several years. I attributed it all to being a mother of young children, having a busy lifestyle, and lack of sleep. NOPE! Dr. Dabbs kindness, compassion, and his willingness to listen to me, speak to his integrity and trustworthy character. It is evident that Dr. Dabbs cares deeply for his patients. Not only for their care pre and post-op, but for their continued recovery. He never once was dismissive, belittled me, or exuded arrogance. Dr. Dabbs is the very opposite. I cannot stress how kind, caring, intelligent, and compassion this surgeon is. He is a stand out among any specialist I have ever seen. His bedside manner and approach to medicine are a wonderful refreshment in this crazy world. Thank you.

I was treated disrespectfully. Since I would not sign my signature on forms without knowing what I was signing, I was told that I would have to reschedule, and could not see the doctor without first having signed financial forms. I am a senior citizen and have a military I. D. Trish's facial expressions were hateful, she spoke harshly, and even covered my screen with her hand, so that I could not write that I had not seen why I was signing my signature. It was evident that she did not realize that my son was present and witnessed her extremely disrespectful treatment of me. On the web site it said that their office hours were until 5:00 PM. It was Friday and all other patients had apparently been seen and the staff wanted to leave early. I told Trish that she had inconvenienced my son and me. She could have cared less. I could NEVER recommend making an appointment with Dr. Dabbs. I am 77 years old and have a marvelous family doctor who would never ever treat his patients… disrespectfully. My son was very angry, because I was treated terribly. If you want to be treated in a professional manner, DO NOT GO TO DR. DABBS' OFFICE!!!
