Dr. Charles Michael Day, MD

I wonder if he is still in business. He was my doctor about 7 years ago before he moved and I did to. He was a pretty good doctor. Always listened to me and took good care of me. had him for about 14 years.. wish I could find another doctor like him on this side of town.

Just recently went to Dr. Day for the first time. I was very nervous about the personal nature of my visit. He showed zero compassion. I was there to be seen for thrombosed hemorrhoids and felt very embarassed. He acted as though he didn't even want to look at them but he did. I was not provided with a gown as I expected and basically just dropped my pants and bent over the table where he examined them and not gently at all. I felt this was very unprofessional. Believe me, I didn't want to be there any more than he probably wanted me to be. Dr. Day prescribed some cream and told me to try that but if the pain continued that I would need to go back to have the hemorrhoids lanced and drained. Upon checking out they had my old address and phone number. This was my first visit to this location; they are affiliated with shands so they had that information in their system. However, I spent 30 minutes filling out all of their new patient paperwork to have to tell them at check out that what… they have is incorrect. What is the point of filing out that information if they are not even going to put it in their system?!! After leaving, I immediately went to drop my prescription off being that I was in severe pain only to get a call back from the pharmacy saying Dr. Day failed to put instructions on the prescription so they could not fill it. The pharmacy tried to call the office to get these instructions but could not get through so left a message and said as soon as they heard back they would fill my precscription. It was an incomplete use of my money for copay and time to see this doctor. He clearly didn't want to help me and failed in every aspect. I left feeling more upset than I had when I first walked in with this problem..I would not recommend anyone to him...go to someone that has compassion and good bed side manners!
