Dr. Charles William Doubleday

He's a good Dermatologist. I give him an A+

My husband, son and I have been seeing Dr. Doubleday for about 12 years. Dr. Doubleday has always correctly diagnosed our issues. He gives samples when possible---and he uses over-the-counter products rather than prescription products when the readily available products work well. Dr. Doubleday is a kind and caring person.

Twice I have requested them to call in a refill for a prescription and was refused both times. Then when you go in for a visit, the staff attempts to sell you all types of skin care products which they also flood your email with. Their intentions are very visible.

horrible dermatologist! I used to go to the medical center to have sclerotheraphy done (spider vein removal) but because his office location was more convenient I decided to go there. I'm a doctor myself so I know how things work. So as soon as I get in the room he started bashing other dermatologists because they make you wear compression hose and they use saline. Well he starts taking pride in himself because he uses glycerin and wearing compression hose is absolutely ridiculous. I was skeptical but stupid me I thougth maybe its some advanced therapy I hadnt heard about. So I had the procedure done. I have Never been in so much pain! That night the areas where he did the injections swelled up to the size of tennis balls. I went back to him a couple days later and the entire staff was so rude because i was complaining how i was in so much pain! Then doubleday comes in barely spent 1 minute in the room with me, cut me off when I was trying to explain what was going on, basically said… the pain I'm having was normal and that my body was just not responding well. I've had this procedure done before successfully and I have never had this happen before. HIS TECHNIQUE AND PROCEDURE was completely WRONG almost to the point of being unethical and performing malpractice! So not only was I in pain for a week, the spider veins got worse and 1000 more new spider veins appeared because of the swelling. He Refused to give me a refund and then they wanted to charge me for an office visit! He is a horrible doctor.

Dr Doubleday was very professional, polite and honest and he also has a good sense of humour. If you need a friendly, honest opinion, I would recommend Dr Doubleday every time. I wish I had found him earlier.

I had visited Dr. Doubleday for over eleven years. He originally did a good job of diagnosing and treating my acne. I referred him to many. We settled into a routine over the past nine years or so of just doing annual visits to adjust (if necessary - though it really hasn't been) the routine and get prescriptions updated. I do think he is knowledgable.Since I saw him so infrequently, I didn't even mind that I just had to plan that the appointment would take a couple of hours - since they're inevitably behind schedule. Though it does seem odd - since the actual time w/ the doctor doesn't take more than a few minutes. Several I referred him to - found this more off-putting than I.It was the staff and getting prescriptions refilled in a timely manner that drove me crazy throughout the rest of the year. They didn't ever respond promptly to requests from the pharmacy - so a refill that should have taken a day required countless follow-up of calls or emails and would take a week. Their… office hours and operations are scheduled around the convenience of the staff rather than the patients. (e.g. during long lunch hours and outside of the 24 hours a week they're open their phone doesn't accept messages or provide anyway for you to ask them to call you back. ) They're not terribly organized and never send notices or call to alert you of the need for a follow-up appt.I considered because of the inconvenience going elsewhere for the past five years - but, didn't do until this year, when trying to get a refill I was informed rudely by the staff that I needed to have an appointment every 3-4 months to get my prescriptions refilled. I asked the woman to look back over my records for the past years - which clearly showed I'm supposed to come in once a year. She still told me I had to get an appt., and she wouldn't refill it. (Maybe they've lost some of their patient base and they're trying to get patient income up a little w/ this new approach - I don't know.)I'm glad it gave me the push to find another dermatologist. I saw another one that didn't keep me waiting more than five minutes, was extremely knowledgable and clearly patient service is more important than making sure the staff does as little work as possible.

My office visit went like this:1. "Hello, I'm Dr. Doubleday."2 Give me your money.3. Get out of my office, I have other patients to see. Very unprofessional!!! Did not treat my problems correctly. Did not take time to answer my questions. Only wanted me to get out of his office and get my money to pay for his house in Tanglewood! I will never make the mistake of going to him again. I would NEVER refer anyone to him for anything!!! Charges TWICE as much as other dermatologists!!! Poor service! DON'T GO. YOU WILL REGRET GOING TO THIS DOCTOR LIKE I DID.

If you visit this physician pray that all goes smoothly, if you should question any of their practices he and his administrative staff will go out of their way to dehumanize and humility you instead of providing anything that resembles care. Recommendation: Seek out another dermatologist that behaves professionally and insists their support staff do the same.
