Top Neurologist and easy to communicate with. He has given me top care.

After living with seizure disorder for decades, I switched Doctors to try for epilepsy care at Emory, which is closer to home . Boy am I glad I did! Being under Dr Epstein’s care has made a world of positive difference to me . I recommend anyone looking for a neurologist for seizure control to see Dr Epstein.

My daughter has intractable epilepsy. Dr. Epstein withheld valuable information from us that would have meant surgery and a possible cure for my daughter. We found out that the information had been withheld two years after the fact from another doctor in the practice. I am also aware of another patient where Dr. Epstein misdiagnosed the seizure type and delayed care and seizure freedom for 2 years. He over medicates patients and refuses to utilize the latest technology to identify seizure type. If the results of a scan do not coincide with his diagnosis, it is deemed inconclusive. He will prevent patients from being cured from seizures or having an improvement in quality of life. He needs to retire.

He's very patient ,and caring and concern about his patients, he never let you go with out let you know about your diagnosis, he check everything, and explains it to you so that you understand what he talking about. of course I forget but he update me each time if need be. I truly would recommend him to any one who has a problem, because he care about you not just his business as a doctor getting paid. he's funny as well he make you feel comfortable speaking to him like a dad to a daughter or son. Not saying he old but he's manners and the concern he shows. His character! you just can't find these doc any more. And he spends time with you as needed.. He's very courteous as well. wonderful staff Go and see for yourself.

I have intractable epilepsy. It was difficult to reach a nurse or doctor by phone. Difficult to start new med and wean off meds due to poor communication and poor follow up by Dr. Epstein. Messages relayed were confusing. Dr. Epstein refused to use latest technology to diagnose treatment. He also refused to collaborate with other physicians regarding my care. I found him to be arrogant and his attitude was a barrier to care. Found new doc where care is great and in stark contrast to care from Dr. Epstein.

Dr Epstein is very easy to have a dialouge with. His language is in medical terms that are understandable to me. He ask insightful questons and provides options for your treatment. Excellent Neurologist

I am a widow with a brain injured child. I was new to town and saw this dr. Despite all the credentials, I found him to be harsh, especially when discussing payment. The initial fee to just establish a baseline was astronomical. I found him arrogant and uncaring, not to mention it takes an act of congress to communicate with anyone on the staff. Only good thing.his p.a. Mendelson was wonderful!
