Dr. Charles Sidney Faber, MD

He barely shows you he is paying attention to you, is easily distracted by his phone, and tried to get me to schedule a surgery that a dr that I saw afterwards said was totally unnecessary. This condescending man may fool some, but I have had exceptional doctors in my lifetime.

I went to see Dr. Faber and had to have a hearing test after which he told me I needed an MRI because of my age. I didn't do it because I felt it wasn't necessary. I went back after going to the ER with a massive ear infection. The ear was still swollen and sore. It needed draining. He proceeded to tell me that I would remain deaf in that ear because of my jaw. What a jerk! I got swimmers ear medicine, OTC, and used that. My ear finally cleared up. Then they had the nerve to call and see if I wanted to reschedule. I started NO because he didn't listen, and she said, yes this is a quote "He doesn't listen to anyone, that's his way". Needless to say I won't recommend him and will never return. If I could give zero stars I would.

If you don't have a little bit of medical knowledge you are in the "jungle". Dr Faber told me I had a growth in my adenoids and needed A CT scan in preparation for surgery. The CT department told me the test was to be done with contrast. I went in with complaints of decreased hearing and sinus infection. He totally disregarded my complaints of sinusitis. I spoke with his nurse a couple of times and she insisted I need a CT scan but did not need the contrast dye anymore. ?? I was very skeptical about his opinion and decided to wait. A month later Dr Faber sent me a certified mail letter saying I had a growth that could be life threatening and urged me to have the CT scan done. A couple of months later my primary care doctor had to prescribe antibiotics because I had a severe sinus infection with a fever close to 102. My condition responded to the antibiotic and I felt good after the treatment but wanted to see another specialist about the "growth" found by Dr Faber. I saw the new… specialist today just to learn that my only problem is allergic rhinitis and he did not see any growth. This way I did not have to go through the CT radiation and unnecessary surgery. If you have a feeling that a doctor is trying to get you to have surgery done and then bill the insurance (they will never know) wait and seek another specialist's opinion. It's a business like any other one. Be careful!!!

Dr. Faber has impressed me with his skill and tenacity while uncovering an issue with the left side of my head. He appears to be a well qualified diagnostician.

First let me say something about the staff: the least friendliest with grumpy looks! And the doctor (don't even feel like calling him one based on his attitude): So impatient, spends no time with the patient (after your 1+ hr wait), indifferent and condescending. During my visit, his only worry was why his schedule was so overbooked and he was not too happy with the scheduling assistant. My advice to the wise: Its OK to take a painkiller for your ear-ache instead of going to this doctor. Avoid him and find a better doctor who really cares for his/her patients!
