Dr. Charles Russel Friend, DO

Look him up. He works at one place then relocates hundreds of miles away to a new job every year or so. Obviously he gets fired and fools another medical practice. Dont be fooled by this failure, just dont see him. Period.

I really wanted to like TGMG, and the convenience of being able to see USF Doctors and use Tampa Gen. if I was ever in need of hospitalization. Unfortunately I was assigned Dr. Friend as my primary care physician. I have never had a worse experience with a doctor! It seemed that he went out of his way to cause me problems and delays in a simple pre surgery checklist. Doctor Friend took it upon himself to schedule additional tests, not required by the surgeon. Then it took forever to schedule the tests HE wanted. I had to end up going to an Emergency Walk-in Clinic and seeing a strange doctor, who completed the exams and checklist in 15 minutes. Both he and the surgeon were incredulous that he insisted on what both said were unnecessary additional tests. I understand he has left the TB area. Good!

Avoid this piece of crap. He sucks

Hate to tell you this Dr. Enemy people have choices and ratings goes a long way.

I quit going to Tampa Bay Medical Group because of Dr. Friend. Worst doctor in my life. The past year I was kept waiting 1-11/2 hours after arriving on time for appointments. Worse, he paid no attention to my concerns. In fact, he seems to go out of his way to inconvenience you. He should consider another career, perhaps dog catcher!

He refused to refill my blood pressure medication and would not give a reason.

This is the worst doctor I've ever encountered in my entire life. It's hard to believe they would even let someone like this practice medicine. If I didn't know better I would say he was an impostor.

This is the worst doctor on the planet. Don't waste your time with this loser.

I've never had a problem with Dr. Friend. I am surprised to read the previous negative reviews. He is always caring and follows up on all of my medical concerns.

I didn't actually visit him but he visited me at the restaurant I work for and left me a $5 tip on a $144 check so automatically I think he's a price of garbage. Cheap skate for real.
