Dr. Charles David Gordon, MD

Dr. Gordon is a Great Doctor. I have been seeing him for years in Charlotte NC for Migraine headaches and my migraines have decreased by over 50%. Only negative feedback I would have is rudeness of his nurse Linda!

Love Dr Gordon. He has a wonderful manner, and is a great neurologist. Very gentle in his approach and truly knows his specialty. My migraines are fewer and farther between.

I really love Dr. Gordon. He spends so much time with me, he truly cares and is so knowledgeable not only regarding his own specialty but regarding general medical conditions. I do however have an issue when attempting to contact his office for either appointments or for example medication changes/refills. I have been placed on hold for at least 20 and sometimes 30 minutes at a time, then transferred to a voice mail. I left a voice mail message and no one ever returned my calls. I contacted them again was on hold 20 minutes, I finally was able to reach someone, I advised them of no one returning my calls, long wait time, and I was told there is only one person answering the calls and they are short staffed.

Dr. Gordon is very nice and knowledge but WAY overbooked. As an established patient it takes months to make an appointment and days for them to call you back or an 30 minutes on hold. It is a shame because he is a great doctor. Not worth the frustration.

My only "complaints" about Dr. Gordon aren't really complaints. Because he is so good at what he does, the wait to get an appointment can sometimes be lengthy. However, his PA Julie is also amazing and a little easier to get an appointment with. Promptness can sometimes be an issue, but it's because Dr. Gordon spends as much time as necessary with each patient. When you're in the exam room, you never feel rushed. We just moved two hours away, but will be back to Charlotte to see Dr. Gordon whenever necessary.

Was treated like a drug seeker early in the appt. He has no concept of chronic pain. He plainly said that anyone who takes more than 2 doses of medication per week is over using medications

Dr. C. David Gordon MD, is a headache specialist. I had been seeing him for the last 8 years at the Michigan Head Pain and Nuerological Institute in Ann Arbor Mich. for daily, continuous migraine variant headaches.He resently moved to North Carolina, and I am so sad to lose him as my doctor. He is undoubtably the finest doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and visiting on a regular basis. I consider him to be a best friend.I am a very sentimential person, and I have no trouble letting people who mean a lot to me how much I care about them. With that in mind, I remember one time at the end of my office visit, I told him that I needed to tell him one more thing. He said "OK." I'm sure that he thought that I was going to tell him I was leaving his care to go to another doctor; I could tell by the look on his face. In fact, what I told him was this: "I've finally been able to put your care for me into words...I think of your care as a 2 layer chocolate cake. One layer is… knowledge, and the other layer is experience. Both layers are excellent...and the icing that covers the entire cake is your "kindness, and I appreciate you very much!. "Thank you for not giving up on me!" He was almost speechless, and just said thank you and smiled. His nurse said: "WOW."When he told me he was moving to North Carolina, I was very sad, and cried. I even told him that coming from Southeastern Ohio to Charlotte North Carolina was not that much farther than going to Ann Arbor Mich. Don't be surprised if you see me there as your first new/old patient.The bottom like is that Dr. Gordon is a FINE doctor who really cares about his patients, and encourages his patients to perticipate in their health care plan. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!!!
