Dr. Charles Robinson Hanes II, MD

I saw Dr. Hanes and had two surgeries. I did not like his bed side manners and am worse off now than when I started seeing him. Please check reviews before going to a doctor. Wish I had.

He was an amazing Dr. I had mesh repair done and there was a problem checking in at the hospital and he came and checked to make sure everything was ok and that I was hanging in there. He has an amazing patient relationships. He just doesn't make it seem like your Dr but a friend too. I was going on a trip and when I got back for my checkup he remembered and asked me about it. He isn't a Dr that never talks to you he is a very caring and kind Dr and person.

For years I had been living with incontinence. After having a bladder tack done by another doctor back in 2007 my problem only seemed to grow worse and there did not seem to be anything that could be done to help me. So I had just about given up when I heard about Dr. Hanes and went to see him. He was very professional, patient, kind, explained everything in a way I could understand, and answered all my questions. He never made me feel rushed and I was always made to feel very comfortable not only with Dr. Hanes but all his staff. He not only discovered what was causing my problem but was able to treat it and greatly corrected my situation, so much so I no longer classify myself as being incontinent. The Mobile area is very fortunate to have access to a doctor with such expertise in his field as Dr. Hanes.

I see several bad reviews on Dr. Hanes and having just seen him for the first time a few days ago, I do NOT understand the bad reviews. He was kind, professional, listened, and answered ANY questions I had. I will highly recommend him to anyone if they are looking for a good urogyno! I went in nervous and afraid of how he would treat me after all the bad reviews, please ignore the bad and see for yourself, I'm glad I did. Thank you Dr. Hanes and staff for being so kind and helpful!

Please seek help elsewere. Could or would not answer simple questions. I believe he is where he is and just so he can cover other doc with his second opinion. Told me what he thought was wrong before he looked at me but after talking with my doc. Something very fishy going on here. Acted like he new nothing and had zero answers. Yet I am in tremendous pain. And know one knows anything? Come on. Travel to Birmingham and find a real Urogynecologist.

Very cold, rude and rough. Not at all what I expected. Lots of double talk with no answers. Not gentle at all. Please find soneone else.

I am left with a nightmare from my mesh repair from Dr. Hanes. After my many surgeries from the cystocele/rectocele mesh repair I developed vaginal shingles from the trauma of all the surgeries. Dr. Hanes refused to diagnose me after many office visits of me asking him to tell me what was happening to me. Finally I had to quit going to him and find another doctor to get some help and be properly diagnosed. I have a bad errosion problem with my mesh repair which I will now have to live with the rest of my life on top of many more mesh repair surgeries...I am now finding out Dr. Hanes is not Board Certified in Urogyenocology.
