Dr. Charles Ray Kirkham, MD

I recently switched to Dr. Kirkham due to my former doctor no longer delivers. As a first time mom I had several questions. He is nothing but very informative, great at explaining on what symptoms to look for in the near future during my pregnancy and is very calm and happy. I was referred to him by my sister and ended up referring him to several of my expecting friends. The nurses that take my vitals are young and sometimes really nice or sometimes not friendly at all. The nurse taking my vitals asked if I had anyone in the waiting room and I responded no... she then tells me "My husband never missed an appointment.. he would leave work to make sure he was at them..." I know she didn't mean it in a crude way, it was just an unnecessary comment to make to a 7 month pregnant woman who was alone.

Conveyor-belt medicine, which is frustrating for the patient but no doubt profitable for the doctor. It would be helpful if the doctor rambled less and paid greater attention to the questions and needs of the patient. The nurse is as rude as she is ignorant. She needs to learn how to say "I don't know the answer to that" instead of just making stuff up. All in all, a far cry from the compassionate health care providers you would want as a patient.

I was referred to Dr. Kirkham by a good doctor friend of mine. He is very personable and explains what will occur during the appointment. He's answered every question I ask and I trust his extensive experience!! Dr. Kirkham does his job very well.

Had a terrible experience delivering my baby there (last march). Went through c-section and the (night) postpardom nursing staff we're so rude and blunt. The baby care center keep pushing baby toward you w/o considering your rest and operational condition. There are people bothering you every 10 min. not letting the "mother" sleep. And the lady that takes blood from your baby's foot at 3am is the worst of it! Had bad attitude and all. Would not recommend this place for great delivery experience. Staff need to be more considerate and people friendly w/ their patients. And to top it off my registered Dr. (kirkham) did not come through on delivering my baby. He is not gentle when checking dilation.
