Dr. Charles Jay Koller, MD

I made an appointment with Dr. Koller for an inguinal hernia. He was very professional, considerate and confident. A health issue occured before surgery that he quickly took care of and went beyond to make sure that I was under the care of the best physicians in the area. Dr. Koller took the matters into his own hands and before leaving his office everything was set in place. Not only do I feel that Dr. Koller is a top notch surgeon but a extremely caring physician. My surgery quickly healed with minimal pain and very little discomfort. In addition, his entire staff were very professional and courteous. With my deepest gratitude and thanks to all. I appreciate you all.

I had already been diagnosed with a hernia 6 months prior and was prepared to use the same doctor for the surgery, but then did additional research. Dr. Koller had very good reviews, so I set up an appt with him. Despite Covid and the less than normal interaction (everyone wearing masks so you don't get the same facial feedback), I liked his bedside manner and his office staff. He was very confident in his skills and even announced, "for this procedure you want the best, and I'm the best." I like confidence in the doctors that are going to do surgery on me. Availability was easy, location and billing have been easy, and they worked with me to delay payment a few days until I could fully fund my HSA to pay. Day of surgery was great at the surgical center and Dr. Koller and his PA were very informative before and after the procedure. I am on blood thinners and we worked through that easily as well. Follow up went well. I would highly recommend Dr. Koller!

A year ago Dr Koller repaired a left inguinal hernia. After extensive research about Doctors in and outside Florida, Dr Koller kept coming up on top of the list. Call today and get you life back. One year out and I feel fantastic. Thank you Doc and thank you for your team.

How do you say Thank You. Six months ago Dr. Charles Koller repaired my left inguinal hernia. There are not too many things that take me down but that hernia did. My recovery has been great, I have no restrictions and I am back to a normal life. I spent a few months researching surgeons in Florida with Dr. Koller and his team regularly at the top of the list for hernia repair and general surgery. Thank you Dr Charles Koller for giving me my life back.

Dr. Koller has taken care of me for almost 5 years. He performed surgery on me in 2014 and saved my life. He will always look out for his patients despite insurance. I continue to seek out his professional opinion before any other doctor touches me. I adore this man.

Dr. Koller performed double inguinal surgery on me yesterday morning. Slept like a baby yesterday and only needed pain medication once yesterday, none today. Feeling pretty darn good 24 hours later. Way to go Koller team (staff great too). Mike D

From office staff to nurses to Dr Koller, pre-op, surgery and post-op care was absolutely outstanding. Went in for umbilical hernia and Dr. Koller found I also needed dual inguinal hernial repair (the Trifecta). His bedside manner was professional, patient and he took the time to talk about my military service. From initial appt to surgery was only about 10 days! Dr Koller’s #2 (Maggie) was also great! Took the time just before surgery to put me at ease. Went home a couple of hours after surgery with pain meds that I barely needed. Pain was very tolerable and exactly like the team said it would be (more of an ache). Not bad for a triple hernia. I had a medical question three days into recovery late in the day. When I called the office after 5 pm, I selected the contact the Dr option and was pleasantly surprised when Dr Koller answered himself. He quickly put me at ease. Had my post op consult with both Maggie and Dr Koller toady. I am now 8 days post op and feel great. I… must also compliment the front office, who always had a smile and worked with me to not only find the appointment times that were best for me, but also helped me work a solution to ensure my medical coverage worked. The remaining medical staff in the office were friendly and professional...especially when I went in to have my catheter removed the day after surgery. Finally, the others Dr Koller selected to round out his team (University Surgery Center and the anesthesiologist) were awesome. As much as no one wants to have to have hernia surgery, Winter Park Hernia Center and Dr Koller (and his team) are exactly the ones you want to have take care of you.

Dr. Koller was so helpful throughout my experience and met all of the needs that I had within a considerably complex situation. He was kind, understanding, and knowledgeable - keeping me in the loop and taken care of every step of the way. The surgery he performed was more complex than other doctors had realized, and I can honestly say my surgery experience was excellent with him and his staff.
