Dr. Charles Franklin Lano, MD

Dr. Lano is a great physician/surgeon. I always feel very comfortable and confident in the care my family and I receive. He is great with children! His office staff is very polite and professional.

I found him to be very odd. He blew me off when I asked questions. My son had surgery with him and he is still having trouble with the issue we saw him for. He didn't seem like he cared to see us after the surgery was finished. Very awkward. I felt rushed during the appointment.

While trying to schedule a procedure the office staff was incredibly unresponsive. After researching our insurance coverage on our own, we discovered the balloon procedure is not covered by our insurance (most insurance actually). The coordinator failed to communicate with the insurance and visa versa. This delay will more than likely result in a serious delay in the needed procedure. No urgency or empathy from the staff of Hill Country ENT. Very disappointed.

Dr. Lano is a wonderful, smart and caring doctor. He listens, answers all my questions and has a very kind and humble manner. Having complete confidence in him made my surgery a breeze. I highly recommend him.

I usually don't like doctors, but I really like Dr. Lano. He is quiet and actually listens. He explains all of the options and does not push his own agenda. He does not talk down to you or seem to be in a rush to get on to the next patient. The wait is reaonable and his office does not over-book. He will ask you what your goals and expectations are which may throw some patients since most doctors don't typically do this.

Very disappointed at this office. I had been referred by a friend and the location was very convenient. Dr. Lano was pre-occupied, hurried in and out without any time for questions or concerns. The staff was TERRIBLE, all about the payment!!!! Yes i was there and Yes i could pay. It was a very cold and un-comforting staff. I am now driving to San Antonio for care for my son and his sugery will be done with another referred doctor.

The staff is courtesy though sometimes it borders on abrupt. I like Dr. Lano. At first I was a little put off with his manner, but I think that is just the way he is. I don't think he'd be great in a social setting, but as a doctor he is thorough, punctual and friendly.

The Dr. was distracted and disinterested during the initial and follow-up exam. Seeing as many patients as possible was his clear priority ..providing good medical attention was not a priority...Left the exam room to take a call?? from another physician and never returned to the exam room..
