Dr. Charles Randall May, MD

Very kind, understanding and listens to your problems. He seems to really care and makes suggestions and offers help. Has an actual conversation with me and doesn't just think that every patient fits i to one mold. My life has improved so much since I started seeing him. It was in a terrible place before. The staff is always helpful and kind too. Though I did have a couple times where I did have to leave him a message and the office staff told him something totally wrong twice. I think for this type of Dr! Your noted to the dr NEED TO BE CLEAR AND CONCISE & WITHOUT MISTAKE!

Unfortunately due to the way mental healthcare is structured, psychiatrists only allot about 15 minutes to each patient per appointment, following the initial intake session. I think Dr. May scheduled a buffer between appointments, because my sessions with him typically spilled over into 25 minutes or more. He was quite attentive and seemed to hear and understand all of my issues. His demeanor was interested and sympathetic. I think he has gone out of his way more for me than many psychiatrists I have had -- emergency visits, accommodating my medication needs etc.

takes forever to get an appointment.Really does an ok job at best with help.Just the usual type who has a preconceived notion of how to do things and does not vary from the pattern
