After what I thought would be a routine eye appointment I was faced with the possibility of losing my eyesight. I urgently needed to see a qualified retina specialist but had no idea where to start. I made an appointment with a doctor in Albany, but after just one visit I knew that was not where I wanted to be cared for. I approached Dr. Mayron after speaking with a friend who highly recommended him. The entire staff at Capital Retina Associates are friendly, helpful, and very caring. Dr. Mayron has answered all my questions and has explained the steps necessary for treating my condition. I have put my full trust in his abilities, he has far exceeded my expectations. I appreciate having a doctor who listens to my concerns, who makes adjustments to the care plan to put my mind at ease, yet is aggressively treating my condition. We can not say enough good about the girls in the office, with their caring friendly nature they are a very important addition to patient care. I have personally… recommended Dr. Mayron to my friends and acquaintances but would also recommend him to anyone who wants to see a doctor with vast knowledge of conditions affecting the eye and who treats you as an individual, with kindness and compassion. I was a patient of Dr Mayron for several years seeing him every few months. We got along great as we both had spent time at West Virginia University, he as a doctor and I as a student years earlier. Dr Mayron did retina surgery o both of my eyes over several years. A few months back I had a personal issue that forced me to cancel my appt. His office person insisted that I had to reschedule at the same time I cancelled my appt. I was upset over my personal issue and said I would call back to reschedule. His office would have none of this, telling me this was their policy - I had to reschedule when I cancelled. Frustrated, I told the lady then to just cancel me as a patient. A few days later I received a notice from the office telling me to find another doctor. Wow, first time I was fired my a doctor. I thought Dr. Mayron was great! Even gave him a WVU coffee mug as gift. Never have been treated so badly by and medical provider

I was very happy with my experience. Dr. Mayron was able to clearly explain to me my condition and the available therapies for it. The staff was very helpful and was a very posiitive experience.
