Dr. Charles Edward Mcbride, MD

Our family LOVES Dr. McBride! We have been seeing Dr. McBride for over 10 years. He is an excellent Dr. He is conservative in his approach to medication and explores alternative therapy including dietary changes/adjustments. He is also pro prevention, which is not characteristic of many Drs. I have found. He patiently walked through our daughter's stomach condition and after ruling out every diagnosis he suggested a last ditch test, thinking it would most likely prove negative. To his surprise it was positive, and though there is no cure he was very helpful, knowledgeable, and compassionate; suggesting dietary changes to manage and minimize symptoms. He also, was able to diagnosis and prescribe medications for a condition I have that happens due to stress; some of the treatment is non-conventional and works really well.

I can only say that Dr. McBride is one of the most caring physicians I've had. He is extremely knowledgable and able to explain issues for a layperson. He is accessible and follows-up. I've had several endoscopies with good results from Dr. McBride. I highly recommend him for the practice of gastroenterology.

Dr. McBride is a fine physician who I’ve used for over 5 years. Last week my prescription ran out and needed to be approved by his office. After 5 days and 3 calls I still don’t have my medication, and had to buy OTC meds to tide me over until Dr. McBride can be reached in 2 more days to fill it. My acid reflux has flared for the first time in years because of this. The office needs to hire a clinician or LPN to cover contingencies like this. Very disappointed.

Never thought I would be saying this! This is my 4th routine colonoscopy and first time by Dr McBride. While his office seems to be a bit busy and he can run late, it’s because he does not rush with his patients, what a rarity these days. I found home to be professional and personable and felt comfortable with him immediately. Prep for the procedure was well communicated and went smoothly. He know allows you to consume vanilla shakes as part of the liquid diet, and wow what a treat. This really helped! And the procedure was conducted at the Springfield Inova HealthPlex. The staff here was amazing.

Dr Mcbride is knowledgeable and friendly but he runs late. I have had several appointments and have waited at least an hour and a half each time. I could have stayed at worked and saved some of my personal time off. Not to mention the frustration of sitting here. It is time to find a new doctor.

1st class Doc....

Nice doctor I have been a patient for awhile. My only complaint is that the wait time is almost 45 min or more past appointment time. Once I waited 1 1/2 hours past my appointment time. That is ridiculous.

Really caring doctor! Understood my situation and explained it to me thoroughly , unlike other doctors.

Wonderful doctor in all aspects. I have absolutely no complaints at all I have dealt w/doctors many years and he is the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful too. Caring, compassionate and never rushes w/you. Also, quick to get back to you.

Outstanding doctor. Spent time with me. Answered all my questions. Extemely good bedside manner. Answered all questions in an easy to understand manner. Overall great experience. I highly recommend him!
