Dr. Charles Shane Medlock, MD

This is my first child and it was very hard not being able to have my mother there because of Covid-19 rules but I was comfortable the entire time and I felt so cared for, as well as my new baby and every staff member I came into contact with helped calm my nerves. Dr. Medlock and his staff are beyond amazing and were so good to me during my pregnancy and my labor and delivery couldn’t have gone any better!

I have had him since my firstborn's emergency cesarean ar 36 weeks. I had an unknown at the time unique uterus which made it impossible to give birth naturally, despite days of labor. Considering all I went through with a very difficult delivery, I suppose some would have never wanted to see that doctor again. Vut I recognized something about him: he cared and he was able to listen. And he was able to learn. I had been I paid. for decades, had extreme difficulty getting pregnant and staying pregnant yet other obgyns mostly dismissed the pain and saw nothi g wrong. Dr. Medlock knew something wasn't right and listened. And he ordered an MRi as soon as I had healed enough. And we finally got answers as to why my little one got stuck and why we had such a traumatic experience. My uterus was indeed abnormal, the cause of all the pain and pregnancy issues. I am glad I chose to continue with Dr. Medlock. With my second child, he helped me through severe all day sickness for 6 months and then… delivered again by emergency cesarean my little boy. Despite it being super early at 32 weeks and another emergency, Dr. Medlock was able to make this surgery seem easy compared to the first and he was thorough too about removing old scare tissue, which was such an unexpected blessing. I appreciate the time he spent on his days off to check in on me, both while I was on bedrest and after the surgery. He knew it was important to me that he do the surgery, despite it being an emergency again, and he came through for me even though it had been a day off for him. I am so grateful.

He was rude, disrespectful, and not a caring doctor. Every wait was a long one, he was even rude during my delivery, and he just wants you in an out. He did not take the time to listen to concerns, nor did he take the time to explain procedure options. Very disappointed in this doctor.

I had an emergency and Dr Medlock and staff fit me right in. The 10 minutes was just in the lobby...after that vitals etc were taken by his super pleasant staff and they kept me busy until Dr Medlock came in. He spent plenty of time with me and discussed my options thoroughly. I would highly recommend him

Dr. Medlock is the best. He delivered my first son and I am so glad to have him on board for my second child. He was also my gynecologist for many years. Although the wait can be long, depending if he is in labor and delivery, he spends time with all his appointments. Easy to talk with and understand.

Dr. Medlock is awesome, and so are the ladies in his office! Couldn't imagine using a different doctor! He makes sure his patients get the BEST care!

If you want a good doctor, go see Dr Medlock. He is THE BEST! I've never seen or even heard of a doctor who is as caring and compassionate as him. Yes, the wait time is long, and he is almost never on time, BUT when he gets to me, he acts like I am his only patient. He spends just as much time with me as I want or need and has never rushed through my appointments, which makes the wait time well worth it. The first time I saw him was for a miscarriage. He spent an hour with me, comforting me and reassuring me. 1 day later, he performed my D&C. Since then, he delivered my healthy 8 pound baby boy, and I am now under his care for another baby. I have received phone calls from him, personally, when I have certain concerns. That is pretty much unheard of for most doctors. I was uneasy about going to him in the beginning because I wanted a female doctor, but he has made me feel more comfortable than any female doctor ever has. He always takes my concerns seriously, no matter how embarrassing… or silly they may seem to me. His office staff is also wonderful!! I will never see another ob/gyn.

Finilly found a good gynecologist again!

Dr. Medlock is an exceptional doctor. I recommend him to EVERYONE. He was my GYN doctor and when I became pregnant last year he was my OB doctor and he made my first pregnancy easy breezy! I had a lot of complications and I ended up having a C- section at 34 weeks but his early detection and promptness made me feel safe and helped deliver a healthy baby boy! He has fantastic bedside manners and he ALWAYS has his patientâ??s best interest. I absolutely love him and his staff and I will NEVER go anywhere else in Pensacola.
