Dr. Charles Mc Clung Mixson, MD

Dr. Mixson is professional, very knowledgeable, concerned and caring. To say I highly recommend Dr. Mixson is an understatement. He is an excellent doctor.

This practice is disorganized and discourteous, I would not recommend it to anyone. Mixson might be a good physician, but he is arrogant and curt. Be prepared to wait a long time in an uncomfortable waiting room.

Visited with Dr. Mixson for inner ear problem. He, and his staff were courteous, thorough and took the time to listen to everything I had to say. Highly recommend him.

I had multiple visits with Dr. Mixson. He was uninterested, dismissive, and rushed the visits. He didn't listen to symptoms and repeatedly delayed imaging or other diagnostics, even as my condition deteriorated. This wasted time and money asking for new appointments that would include diagnostics. In the end he said I might need an MRI, then brushed it off -- saying my pain "would be a 10" rather than the 9 I reported. No guidance was given or referral was made and the appointment ended. After several months I switched to another practice and had a thorough examination on the first visit, an MRI scheduled for me by the staff, a detailed follow-up call from the physician himself, and proper medication in my hand within weeks. A stark contrast. Constructively, in my opinion this office could be more effective if chronic complaints included a thorough exam with a CT scan and microscope on the first visit. It would also be better to hold the patient in high enough esteem to listen to… their complaints with inquiry and patience. There were also some scheduling issues and confusion between departments that could be improved upon.

Outstanding professionalism and Patients care

I had heard so many bad things about sinus surgery; however, my experience with Dr. Mixson was wonderful. I have had no problems and very little pain. He never seems to be in a hurry. He is thorough and available to answer any question. I would recommend him to anyone.

Very professional and caring

My Wife has Stage 4 cancer and so her treatment is tricky. Dr Mixon worked with the oncologist Dr Nick and performed perfect surgery. Staff was very nice and we are very happy with Dr Mixon

I have seen Dr. Mixson 6 times in the last 4 months and I have had to wait no more than 5 minutes before being called back and sat for 3-5 minutes before Dr. Mixson made it in to see me. I am very impressed with how efficient the staff is. My time(to me) is far more important than the doctors. I really appreciate there diligence in getting me in and out. And, by the way I breath much better now. THANKS!

Dr. Mixson is extremely knowledgeable. He takes the time needed to get to the root of underlying issues. He will not just give a quick fix. His goal is for his patients to have optimal health! You will need to look past his nurse's lack of bed side manner, but it is worth it for Dr. Mixson's expertise!
