Dr. Charles Joseph Nivens, MD

Dr. Nivens‘s office was a great place to go until he hired a gnu assistant. Based on my experience, I would not advise anyone to go there now.

I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis 3 years ago. After steroid shots and last resort open back surgery I found Dr. Nivens. He performed the minimally invasive MILD procedure. I am now 100% pain free. He gave me my life back again. His office is great to work with. If you have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis I highly recommend Dr. Nivins and the MILD procedure

waiting 10 days to have an important callback

I have not come to a complete diagnosis, due to my issues were caused by an automobile accident, which was not my fault. I have to pay for diagnostic tests up front and then be reimbursed at settlement and I am not able to afford that. But they have been courteous and relatively prompt. Bedside manner is appropriate

Ran very late while talking to some one in the hall. Very fast exam.

I will never come here again. I have back pain and ill give it a 9 and you have to push everyone in the office to do anything or its not going to get done. He wanted money up front fine but 400 for 1 appointment just to be told that i need a M.R.I. and they will call me that week with a date. Well its been 9 weeks now and no date still. Im in so much pain. I call every week and they always say the same thing we will call me back with in a few hours with a date but no it dont work like that i take it. Also everyone that works for him are kids that dont know anything.

Difficult to get back in, too long for results to be called to us.

Very Good Doctor

Waited about 1.5 hrs to see him. She seemed nice enough and knowledgeable. His office girl came into the exam room to get payment while i was still in exam gown waiting for him to read my xrays. Scheduled an MRI at the facility HE owns for one month away...i don't have time to wait a month while i am in pain. They called later and told me what out of pocket would be for MRI and wanted credit card over the phone. I just don't think i'm going to go any further than the MRI with him...which, after i said i wanted to go to another imaging center, they suddenly had an opening for the next day.

This doctor and his office staff have been very professional and courteous. I have been seeing him now for about seven months and have been very pleased with my care and the attention received there.
