I had back surgery, S1 L5 fusion. I was very pleased with the results.

The man was heartless .He was so disrespectful to my family. He never went over my Catscans or MRI . He rolled threw them so fast He didn’t even ask my issues He said he does not know what the other surgeon might of done. He had no time for me. It seemed like we were bothering him. He said my issues were comin from somewhere else.He does not want to help people with prior issues. We were still speaking to him when he walked out. I would not recommend him to anyone, you want a doctor to listen, to examine , mostly to help . Don’t bring anyone you love to this man We drove over two hours to see him for 12mins

Dr. Reitman is very professional and has done 2 surgeries on me and I no longer have any pain!! He is soft spoken and explains in detail and listens to his patients!!! He saved me from being wheel chair bound!!!

After an accident experienced tenderness in neck and audible clicking noise continuously for 3 months before first visit on a referral. Seemed disinterested, performed no examination of area or ordered any tests. Called the problem "benign" and said to return if persisted. Six weeks later returned. Specifically requested he listen to determine where noise originated, describe the cause of the noise and to manipulate the sore muscle as I did to realize that when this was done the noise was no longer evident. No exam again, did nothing other than offer physical therapy which to me was questionable without knowing the cause of the soreness or the clicking. Claimed to have answered all of my questions in his notes, not so! Very discouraging encounters.

As a retired health professional myself, I feel that I am able to evaluate the skills and manners of other doctors fairly well. Dr Reitman performed a difficult procedure on me, removing a cyst in my neck that was pressing on my spinal cord. He also did a necessary spinal fusion procedure on my wife, relieving her neck pain. He is absolutely top notch in all aspects of his profession. In fact everyone at MUSC from the doctors and nurses to the office assistants are a pleasure to deal with.

Takes the time so you understand

We were seen within 2 minutes of arriving. Dr. Reitman was easy to talk to and spend all the time needd to answer our questions. Very pleasant assistant. This was a very professional and well run office. DO NOT let the word Clinic fool you into thinking you will be sitting there forever with 100's of patients. A VERY POSITIVE experience.

Dr. Reitman did my fusion 7 years ago, I've never met a doctor as qualified as he is, let alone with such amazing bedside manner. My pain is for the most part gone, minor flare ups here and there that are to be expected. I have had a physician in a different city post surgery take one look at my x-rays and first words out of his mouth, "Charles Reitman right? It's flawless".All of his staff at his office are beyond top knotch!

Dr. Reitman was the 4th doctor I had seen for my previously undiagnosed condition. He immediately diagnosed the problem and kindly and patiently explained to me the need for prompt surgery. Although very busy, he took as much time as needed to describe to me the surgical procedures and follow-up. He has done 2 spine surgeries for me. A very fine physician. Most highly rated.

Dr. Reitman was very professional as well as very caring! He spent alot of time with me and my family explaining the surgery he performed. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!
