Dr. Charles T Rubio, PhD

I would not recommend Dr. Rubio to anyone, and I would certainly not give him permission to privately discuss anything with family. Dr. Rubio was my therapist for two to three years. During my sessions with Dr. Rubio, he asked if I would allow him to contact my daughter, who was the main subject of our therapy. I verbally agreed to this, thinking it would be similar to family counseling, where I would be privy to the conversation. However, he later only gave me HER email replies, cutting of his comments to her. I felt it somewhat strange at the time, since he was my therapist, acting on my behalf, and with my permission. I felt I should have had full knowledge of the entire discussion, but I did push my request. It became clear, as time went by, that he had reinforced her feeling about me, for example telling her he agreed that I was judgmental. This was verified by information she sent me (a print screen of his email) I would never recommend as I feel his methods are… questionable at best.

He si very knowledgeable. So much so that he converse on many issues

He has very strong views and is determined to make you adopt them. They have nothing to do with therapy. Instead they have to do with his boyhood. He has been at this a long time and he is set in his thinking.

This guy is self-righteous even though in 1997 he went to court and pleaded guilty to fraud on a government insurance program. He is just that way. The self-righteous is especially annoying.

Dr Rubio listened and helped me untangle the many knots in my life.

If you can get his attention, he can be very good.

I take medicine for different issues. While visiting Dr Rubio it's like taking medicine but better. When I leave my appointments, it's like a thousand pounds off my chest. Such a great person.
