Dr. Charles Nathaniel Seal, MD

I had a fall 11 years ago and crushed my lumber spine vertebrae. I meet Dr.Seal and he explained what he was able to do to help and try to resolve as much pain as possible. Over the years I've had to get several other surgeries with Dr Seal. The surgery is the last thing Dr Seal wants to do. He tries with PT and pain management team before saying this is our last option is for surgery. Having been sent by insurance to another back surgeon the first thing that surgeon said I needed surgery before a MRI,CAT Scan or any other thing. I'll never let another Dr touch my back except Dr Seal.

Dr. Seals is great! Very attentive, caring, professional, and engaging. I had a back injury, that I suffered with over 9 months. Once introduced to Dr. Seal, everything changed for me. Sciatic nerve pain and excruciating pain in my lower back. He took the time to try every option to give me relief before surgery was introduced. Since surgery. I've been relieved of much of my pain. I'm still in recovery and feeling better every day. His staff is friendly, and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Charles Seal.

Great Doctor and Staff all around! I have had previous surgeries with Dr. Seal and so when I hurt my back, I knew I had to contact him and get seen. I had an appointment and was seen within a week. At age 67, I was suffering chronic back and leg pain and couldn’t bare to walk farther than 200 feet without immense pain. Doctor Seal was the surgeon for my wife's back surgery in SEPT. He was So professional, so calm, competent and cheerful that he alleviated any worries we had about a very concerning spine surgery. After the surgery he was there to visit her, explain how the surgery went, what was to be expected in the near future and to provide encouragement for her rehab. He is among the best orthopedic surgeons I have ever met, and I used to work at the Hospital For Special Surgery in NYC, with the best we have. He certainly can be counted among them.

I had really bad neck and back problems, couldn’t play golf for a week! Went to see Dr. Seal, and I got surgery within a week. Back on the green in less than a month.

Had a pinched nerve in my neck, and the pain was bothering me NONSTOP. Swimming is my favorite hobby, and I couldn’t swim for months!!! Went to Dr. Seal, and he did a simple neck surgery on me. Back in the pool in two weeks- AND I beat my own personal record!!! Couldn’t believe it! Thank you so much, Dr. Seal!!!

Amazing well trained spine specialist. I had acute neck pain. He made proper diagnosis and treatment. After 2 weeks of excruciating pain, in 24 hours I started feeling better. Dr Chris Brown has a great spine surgeon at Blue Ridge Orthopedics.

I had back surgery a year ago,I was told I would have relief shortly after. Not only was the surgery a failure,I had to have another operation for the same problem last month, with a different doctor. Dr Seal spent very little time with me explaining my situation and a total of 3 minutes with me after the surgery in the hospital. I have met 6 other people who have had problems with their surgeries also. If your looking for quality care and compassion, seek another orthopedic speacialist.

After 6 months of nearly crawling due to severe back pain, I woke up from anesthesia in much less pain than before surgery. My pain is almost gone 2 weeks post-op. My incision has healed nicely. I could not have hoped for a more successful back surgery.
