Dr. Charles S Shidlofsky, OD

Dr S. is great. But his office staff is incompetent. The lady that did the benefits verification kept telling me my copay doesn't take effect until my deductible is met. I told her that was wrong but she refused to listen and just hanged up. I called my insurance United Healthcare and they said that is incorrect and the office visit copay is always correct no matter the deductible as copay is not dependent on your deductible. What the lady was talking about and she had her terms confused was co-insurance which is what takes effect when you meet your deductible. Not only was this lady incompetent but unwilling to listen when she was incorrect. The staff needs to get trained on properly insurance terminology since THAT IS WHAT THEY DO! This is their specialty but they can't even get their insurance terms down. Staff is super unprofessional untrained!
