Charles Smith, MD, FACS

Charles Smith, MD, is board-certified in General, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. He received both his undergraduate degree and Medical degree from Texas A&M University. Dr. Smith has over 25 years of surgical experience with a special interest in Cardiac and Vascular procedures. Since rejoining the Bryan-College Station community after his Cardiovascular Fellowship in North Carolina, Dr. Smith has been at the forefront of incorporating new minimally invasive procedures into our community. Giving his patients the option for treatment with a shorter recovery time right here at home. Such as the Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) program for Carotid Artery disease. Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms and minimally invasive treatment for Peripheral Vascular Disease. Dr. Smith and the team at neighboring Scott and White Hospital started the only Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program in the Brazos Valley in 2019.
