Dr. Charles Harold Stubin, MD

Dr. Stubin attended my pregnancy delivery at Holy Cross Hospital at Silver Spring, MD in September 2024. Unfortunately, just under 22 weeks, my baby girl was a loss. On top of grieving my lost daughter, during the placenta delivery, Dr. Stubin was rough, yanked on my umbilical cord, while pushing on my stomach and using intravaginal pulling as I bled heavily. This was the most painful experience I have ever had. He used misopristol to try to deliver the placenta and everything he did caused more bleeding. The experience was so bad and painful -- I almost bled out and needed to have an iron transfusion, my fingers and toes went numb, and was traumatized from even returning to Holy Cross Hospital. It wasn't until a year later when I had a similar experience but a much better doctor that I realized how terrible of a procedure Dr. Stubin did. My new doctor was gentle, took her time explaining the procedure, and caused me minimal pain and bleeding. I was able to have a D&C the same day and… my doctor explained everything in an attentive and gentle way and I had a delivery with almost no pain and minimal bleeding. Take caution when choosing Dr. Stubin as your OBGYN. He was impatient, aggressive, and downright awful with no bedside manner present at all.

Does not assume he knows what is wrong with patients as most ob/gyn do without tests values and lab work. Very thorough and takes his time with patients whuch might be a good thing if you are the patient currently being seen or bad if you are waiting and in a hurry to be seen. Overall a great Dr and knowledgeable.
