I first met Dr. Charles Szabo 2009. My seizures had gotten so out of control, no medications worked for my epilepsy. Dr. Szabo told my mom and me “he may be a candidate for surgery. Sure enough a year later after extensive testing he determined I was a candidate. 100 seizure per day and 400 per night. It’s been almost 10 years. No more seizures, no more medications. Last year he finally discharged me from his care. If you are looking for a neurologist who listens, observes and can change a life Dr. Charles Szabo is your answer!

Absolutely fabulous doctor! Completely changed my daughter's life (and our families) for the better. His decisions and testing just make complete sense and get to the real answers. Prior to seeing him, our daughter had been in and out of er's in Houston, San Antonio, and Philadelphia. Under another doctors care she had lost her quality of life due to unnecessary medications and their side effects. She had to be medically released from school, and endured many other nightmare situations. Dr. Szabo figured everything out with ease because he is just that knowledgeable and awesome. He listens, cares, and makes wise choices for testing and care. I praise God that we found him. It brings tears to my eyes every time I think about how drastic of a change he made for my daughter. Thank you Dr. Szabo, you are truly one of the few amazing doctors we've had the privilege of knowing.

Just wonderful. Took my son off of 9 meds which weren't working and found two that do work. Trust in him whole heartedly.

Dr. Szabo is a great neurologist. He would as much as it takes to help his patients. Dr. Szabo is my #1 most favorite doctor. Plus, out of all the other neurologists I have seen in the 15 years I have had epilepsy, Dr. Szabo was the first doctor to look at my MRI and decided to help me when noone else would. Anyone who is living in San Antonio, TX, aDr. Szabo is the man to go to, especially those epilepsy victims who's seizure are out of control! I found him and I became a canidate for epilepsy surgery and got it! All epilepsy victims, see this man, he will be willing to everything he for you!!!

I liked Dr. Szabo, but had to change dr's unfortunally. I had an episode and tried to make an appt and was told that I could be seen in Dec (this was in March). Good thing I wasn't dying. Funny thing is, they actually called me in Dec to remind me of my appt. Really?

Szabo was my neurologist for about 4 years. In those 4 years, I have seen him maybe 8 times. Why? Because he is so busy dealing with his patients at University Hospital, he has no time for any of his other patients. I have epilepsy and had gained wt. due 2 my pregnancy. So, he changed my dosage. But after I had my baby he pushed back my appointments 4 times saying that I should self medicate. He had his nurse call in refills that couldn't be filled. As a man he is very nice. As a doctor however, he isn't one I would recomend.
