I have thought long and hard about this review. I would never recommend Dr. Welliver. I feel he is not experience enough to be doing this procedure. He lacks knowledge to help someone if there are any complications at all. Some of the procedure he is involved with can be very invasive and there are too many other doctors that are more experience. Not only that the office management and staff is highly questionable as far as communication, attitude, and compassion.

Dr. Charles Welliver actively listens and knows how to build rapport with his patients. As a sufferer from erectile dysfunction due to Type II Diabetes, he explained to me the options that lead to an implant restoring my "manhood." Dr. Welliver was instrumental in the future of our family. My husband has a condition called obstructive azoospermia and Dr. Welliver did a procedure to extract 1 million sperm to be used in future IVF cycles. We have yet to be successful due to egg quality issues, but without his expertise, we may have had to turn to donor sperm which was not something we wanted to do. Bedside manner was second to none. We joked as if we were all friends. He is an asset to the Urology department at Albany Med, especially in the infertility focus area!

The Dr. wordlessly shrugged his shoulders when asked about possible complications of surgery. The office is chronically unable to provide sufficient amounts of a needed ongoing prescription despite numerous requests. Not at all recommended.
