Dr. Winter was thorough, knowledgeable and professional. He explained things that we could understand. Showed caring and understanding of our concerns.He reviewed the cervical MRI with us, and was reassuring. Explained a plan for follow up and pain control.

Excellent service from start to finish.. Dr Winters is a pro and it is obvious he cares about his patients. The entire staff was friendly and respectful.

I have been suffering or back issues since November 2025. This was my first visit with Dr. Winters Dr. Winters. He listened, showed me MRI results, and give me great confidence that he would figure out what's going on and help me. When I was checking out, the admin staff I am sorry I am forgetting her name was exceptional, knowledgeable, kind, informative, and efficient. I do not feel I could have received better care from either.

After laying in a hospital bed not knowing what was going on for over 48 hours, dr winters waltzed into my room and told me that I, (size 16 Womens) was too fat and at risk for complication for the life changing *elective* back surgery I needed. He told me he wasn’t there to be nice, and didn’t explain what was actually wrong with my spinal canal, I had to look at my own charts online to see what the issue was. It is terrifying to think about him telling me that most patients my size have complications after this surgery with him, considering I went to a different surgeon (Caruso) and my recovery has been so incredibly successful and they had no bleeding or blood pressure issues during surgery. I am a new person now NO thanks to Dr. Winters. I fear that if I had not stood up to him and gone with him as a surgeon I would not be fully recovered and able to do things I never dreamed of being able to do after my spinal canal was obliterated at 26. I’m pain free now with zero thanks to… him. I would say do not go to this doctor if you are a woman you will not receive proper care.

Do NOT let Winters operate on you. He left me with a pinched L5 nerve....... he ruined my life!!!! I’m having major nerve pain, severe muscle spasms after 3 1/2 years......... Karen

Dr. Winters cared for my mom and did her surgery for my mom's subdural hematoma. He was very compassionate, and my mom, brothers, sisters and I couldnt be happier with his care. Initially we wanted to have her transferred to Hopkins because it was serious and this is Hagerstown, but Hopkins didn't have any beds. But all went perfectly, thanks to Dr. Winters
