EXTREMELY rude! I saw him last year for extreme pain in my right leg (I had a previous surgery on my l5 s1 disc 10 years before when I was 14) my normally very low blood pressure was 152/102 from pain. My appointment lasted MAYBE 5 minutes for him to pretty much rudely tell me I’m lying, that there’s no explanation for pain on the right side when the disc damage is all on the left. He stood up and rudely said “we can do cortisone injections, is that what you want?” I told him I don’t know yet. And he said, “well come back if that’s what you want.” And walked out!! I had to ask the med student that was with him if we were done! 3 months later I saw Dr. Belanger at Sanford, my MRI had gotten worse and I had surgery 2 days after seeing him.

After living a year in pain, Dr. Wood took me on as a patient and he took care of me! Surgery was fast and simple and I woke up with no more back pain! I had a microdiscectomy and was the best decision I have ever made! Thank you Dr. Wood for giving me my life back.

Very very rude! to busy bashing your other Dr. instead of thinking of what he can do for his Patients. I was in pain and he did not care at all. Said I should get another opinion, well I am gong to. I just want to get my back fixed so I can get back to work. Isnt that his job?

After my cervical fusion surgery,I could have used more pain meds..i now will have lamenectomy in my lumbar spine with 5 vertebrae, coming up..i have a very good feeling,and I trust his work..maybe we can up my pain meds while I'm in recovery... im sure something will work out..and I think Dr.Woods is a very smart and skillful surgeon.

I couldn't walk, after surgury, NO PAIN!!, coud do anything. Wish you were back In Lawrenceville!! 23 years later, I need you!!!

Dr. Wood took care of me just after he came to Bowling Green, Ky. I had a spinal fluid leak caused by a previous intercranial surgery where an acrylic plate was placed over a hole created in my skull. He is very skilled. He took a small piece of a muscle covering and used it as a graft to close the leak. During the time we were waiting on my insurance so I could go to surgery, Dr. Wood was concerned about me developing bacterial menegitis. This wonderful doctor gave me his cell phone number and told me what symptoms to look for. And on one occasion when I did call his cell phone-he answered the call. He always treated me like I was the only patient he had, caring and compassionate. I literally had to put my life in his hands, and he took incredible care of me. I would not hestitate to reccomend Dr. Wood.
