Dr. Charlotte L Kennedy, PhD

Dr Kennedy is the best therapist that I have ever had. When I went to her, I was deeply depressed. After a few visits, I began feeling better. She was truly a life saver. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Kennedy is a caring, knowledgeable therapist. I have seen her for a while. She has helped me overcome some tough times. I have a higher quality of life because of her.

Dr. Kennedy is an excellent therapist! She has a calm demeanor, but balances confrontation with support. I have been seeing her for several months to work on some difficult issues. I have made progress and gained a lot of insight. During this time, I have referred family and friends. They have all had positive experiences. I will continue referring to her, because I know that all are in great hands!

Dr Kennedy seemed disinterested and lacked empathy. I had discussed the anxiety issues I was having that included lots of family issues and heavy grief from different losses. She asked simple questions instead of probing questions. I felt much worse after seeing her. It takes courage to begin a process to heal. She didn't seem to care for whatever reason. I won't go back.

Dr. Kennedy is a caring, compassionate therapist. She listens, but does not allow me to make excuses. I have to own my behavior! That is the reason that I have started feeling so much better. She can be trusted. I have finally found a therapist who gets me.

I began seeing Dr. Kennedy a few months ago. I was looking for a very experienced therapist and found this in her. She has years and years of experience and it shows in her advise and treatment. She is very ethical. She does not treat clients for the money, if she does not think they need it. She cares for her patients. Last week, she came in only to get paperwork that I needed for work. I am thankful that I found her.

My first session went well enough. She learned that I had experienced a loss and offered that my grief was normal. She asked if I felt that another session would be useful. I told her that I had been told that I was not focused and she agreed that getting focused and discovering what makes me happy should be the focus of our next meetings. She scheduled the rest of the meetings. My second appt was terrible. She kept suggesting that I was not open to receiving help from her. I tried every way I could to tell her I was. I even gave her an example of how I received and commented on the usefulness of something she'd said earlier. She asked me a number of times to consider if coming to the therapist appt would be helpful for me. I told her I had no idea what caused such tension but she responded by asking me to consider if I wanted to get help. Perhaps I somehow failed to communicate that I was there for help and still needed help and wanted help. Perhaps, she wanted next Wednesday off to… travel out of town. I don't know. It was perplexing and troubling. If someone on the edge had the same encounter with her as I did, they may have felt bad enough to do something horrible to themselves. I was going to her to get help getting focus and fulfilled. I left feeling sad and confused about why she seemed so upset and ready to delete me from her schedule. The lady had her phone out with her finger ready to DELETE me. I got myself together emotionally on the drive home. But people BEWARE!

I have seen several therapists over the years. Dr. Kennedy is one of the Best there is!
