Dr. Charlotte Jean Lohrey, MD

Dr. Lohrey was very standoffish and blunt. She spent less than 5 minutes with me and didn’t do any exam. Her bedside manner was terrible, and she seemed annoyed with me just for being there. From reading other reviews, she is clearly very nice and attentive to some patients so I was surprised by her demeanor. It sounds like you will get great care of she decides she likes you!

This practice is only in medicine for the MONEY and prioritizes that heavily over patient care. Like other reviews have stated, incredibly high turnover rates amongst staff and they will schedule your annual visit one year in advance and then charge you when you miss it. I received ONE text letting me know an appointment was missed, called immediately when I saw the note and they still charged me. They refuse to make any exceptions. Scam artists. But worse than that was their treatment of patients during Covid. They’re so hellbent on these “annual visits” that they refused patient care in 2020 unless you came in for your annual. My dad was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer treatment in October 2020 and I was under strict isolation rules so that I wouldn’t bring any germs around him that could be potentially harmful. I called for a refill on birth control medication (the same one I’ve been on for five years as their patient), and they refused to fill it unless I came in for an annual.… I explained to the staff (Kenya I believe?) that I could not expose myself by coming into a doctors office during Covid, even with a mask on. And also that birth control pills never required an office visit in the past (they would just sent the script to the pharmacy) - they refused to fill it. Also note, that every other doctor in America was offering virtual visits during the pandemic, and this doctor refused. I broke down crying because I’ve never experienced a doctor’s office — whose employees take an oath to prioritize patient care above all else — be so reckless in forcing people in for office visits during a mass pandemic. These people will do sick things for a dollar. There are hundreds of doctors in Nashville. Please do yourself a favor a seek care elsewhere.

Dr. Lohrey listens to her patients and she is prepared with the patient record before her. She and the staff are warm, and caring and efficient and knowledgeable. They really care about the patient and address the issues for the quality care I look for in deciding the best care for my medical concerns. Fast and professional service.

I’d like to save everyone from the experience I’ve had. The nurse complains that she is too busy to call my insurance after my insurance asked them to just to complete a referral that Dr Lohreys office could not seem to get right. Made me have to cancel needed care with a specialist 4 times now. I’m leaving. It should not be legal

She complains about her staff all the time. Very unprofessional. I have going to her for 3 years. I will be getting a new doctor.

I recently moved to Nashville and was referred to Dr. Lohrey. I really like her; she seems personable and professional, and very supportive of my health goals (losing weight through the keto diet and lowering cholesterol through natural means).

After reading some of the reviews regarding Dr. Lohrey and money I was very skeptical to go. But decided to give her a try based on some other site reviews and I am so glad I did! Her front office was very pleasant and told me up front what I would owe today after my insurance payment. I was in the office a total of 30 minutes or so. She was prompt but very thorough. Great staff Great doctor what more can you ask for? Recommending to all friends and family.

Double standard, you are a fly in their ointment. Beware of the deal. Need to consider a doctor who isn't so high maintenance. These people are money grubbers and you are just an end to their means. If they can't get it from the insurance company they WILL get it from you.

You will pay $50 if you don't call two days in advance to cancel your appt. NO excuse is good enough to get out of this fee not even spouces ICU hospitalization. The woman told me my BP was good. I told her it wasn't taken. She said my temp was good. I told her it wasn't taken. She said she seen her assistant take it. I told her NO IT WAS NOT. She argues with me and comments snearingly (we will RE take it). This went on two times. I told her I was a nurse and have been for years. I know when a BP and temp are taken and eapecially on ME!
