Unfortunately, my wife had another abdominal surgery 2 years later with a different Kaiser surgeon. The second was a common complication of the first, and not a negative for Dr. Griggs. However, the patient communication was much better the second time around.

I was a patient of Dr Griggs 10 years ago.i had to have emergency surgery do to complications from my gastric bypass. I had spent 4 days in the hospital when he decided it was time to release me. He was informed I was running a fever by the nurse. To which he paid to attention to and sent me on my way. I had a nurse coming to my house the help my healing process. I was home 1 day when my nurse told me I had bad infection and said I needed to go back. I saw Dr Griggs again and after another week in the hospital I was still running a fever he sent me home again. This continued through out 3 more surgeries. After 6 weeks of in the hospital and me getting more sick each time he touched me. I talked about sueing him. At that point my med school in the hospital were changed and pain med school increased. I was now getting very sick and not making any improvement. I started hallucinating. And on deaths door. My husband had to tell the staff to please get my regular by pass Dr. Whom… told my husband is was on deaths door. And if I didn't get better after him operating that I wouldn't make it. My Bypass Dr. Saved my life. But because of all the things Griggs did. It took almost 2 years to fully heal. I tried to get a lawyer and go after him for malpractice. And other then my own notes my family and I took. It we were told it would be my word against him. Since early he was a Dr. With great reviews . I was his first complaint. However. I found a lady that worked at my tanning place whom had a similar situation with him as I did. However my time to sue had passed the statue of limitations. How ever hers had not. And I gave her everything I went through with him and she said she was going to do something. I never did hear the outcome. He had horrible bed side manners.and just not a nice person in general. I would never recommend anyone to him. He is arrogant self centered. If you still decide to see him. Keep notes.
