My experience with this individual was extremely negative. I felt dismissed and unheard when I came to him seeking help because I was experiencing abuse, rather than seeking an autism evaluation. Despite that, he raised autism and a personality disorder as a diagnosis for the first time in my life and incorporated statements made by people I identified as my abusers into his assessment. He threatened to not let me out despite my being there for DV after noticing I was uncomfortable with him, which may have played a role in the autism diagnosis as well. He also wrote I’m overweight at 5’7 and 139 in retaliation. He repeatedly dismissed my concerns, projected assumptions onto me, and responded in ways that made me question my own perception of events. His communication came across to me as performatively empathetic rather than genuinely attentive to what I was saying. Another incident I witnessed was particularly troubling: an individual who appeared to be there for mental-health… support reportedly asked for a blanket and was repeatedly ignored. I found the situation very disturbing.
