Dr. Chelsea Nicole Cosby, MD

In my opinion, Dr. Cosby should not be practicing medicine. After diagnosing an infection, she failed to provide the lab results in a timely fashion and then failed to prescribe antibiotics. She was impossible to contact, does not take or return calls. When you do have the misfortune to see her in person, she is aloof, ignorant, incompetent and condescending. Presumably, she took the Hippocratic Oath before becoming a doctor. She apparently could care less about the promise within that oath, which is “first, do no harm”. She did not treat the infection and seeing another doctor was required for treatment.

Knowns nothing, does nothing, and does not care about her patients wellbeing. Would not get through medical school in today's day and age.

I went to visit her to get an authorization for a confirmatory STI testing. She didn't understand or know any literature regarding what I was talking about. She refused to authorize one test for which I will be paying out of pocket saying that I need to wait for 3 weeks. I wouldn't never recommend this doctor to anyone.

Very rude and inconsiderate. Does not care about patient's overall well being. Did not get back to me in a timely manner when I needed forms for work.

She is very rude and impatient to patients. I had a sore throat and lost my voice recently. I went to UMD health center and visited this doctor. She routinely asked all the recipe questions but didn't figure out what my sickness was. She complained I had eyes problems because she shined light into my eyes but I automatically blinked. She said she recommended me to see the eye doctor. What she wrote on the diagnosis is "Otitis media and Light sensitivity problem". And want to give me antibotics without explaining what was going on on my body. I refused to take antibotics directly, then she gave my DayQuils and NyQuils. But, as suggested by my friend to see the "truly" doctor in the urgent care outside of campus, I was diagnozed to have a flu! And it's the serious type one - type B. Dr. Chelsea knew nothing, but just randomly gives you medicine that could delay your proper health care.

Visited Dr. Cosby at her office in the University of Maryland Health Center. Greeted me with extreme coolness and ran through the exam questionnaire rapidly, appearing upset when I included information beyond a simple response or not immediately relevant to a question. Prescribed antibiotics without explaining the importance of antibiotic resistance (I had to bring up the subject). Became upset when I brought up concerns and questions during her treatment plan and proceeded to speak condescendingly and passive aggressively. Obviously does not like when others challenge her authority. I will not come back again and would rather see anyone, even a nurse practictioner, over Dr. Cosby.
