Dr. Cherise Lorraine Frazier, MD

I really hate to do this because the provider was nice during my initial visit. The issue is the “billing department” that is either poorly trained, lazy and or just a liar. Upon check in I was informed that even with 3 insurance plans that I have to pay the high end providers allowed amount because my insurance 2nd or 3rd won’t cover the patient liability. As a former Govt insurance billed I knew that was a lie. I called my pediatrician whom already had the neuro results so walking out of here was totally fine to do. I then called my insurance companies to find out that there were ZERO inquiries for benefits made and that they WOULD in fact cover the liability whether it was coins/ded/copay. I simply paid the $25 appt cancellation fee and left to never return again. In addition I reported the provider to all 3 of my insurance companies, referring pediatrician and I write this post. CHECK and BRING YOUR INSURANCE BENEFITS PRIOR to walking in to this provider.

We switched from our first neurologist to her and she has discovered so many of the answers that I have been looking for!

Dr. Frazier and her office staff are professional, timely and meet all my families needs. I made the decision to switch neurologist which was a hard decision but I AM SO GLAD I DID! Under her care my daughter is almost a year seizure free! My daughter started having seizures at 9 she is now 14, we've only been seeing Dr. Frazier for a year and a half. I'm not discrediting another doctor but THERE IS A CLEAR DIFFERENCE with the change in practices. I know all cases are different but she worth the chance. Being able to manage this is a priceless keynote in life.

Refuses to write a clearance letter for my son to have his tonsils out when they are obstructing his airway by 80%.... having to find a different neurologist because the hospital is refusing to do surgery without the letter because “it’s too much liability for her”. Never mind my son BREATHING!!!! 2. Staff told me EEG was NORMAL when it in fact was not. Luckily I’m not stupid and understood enough of what that person was saying to know that something was not right. Very unhappy with the practice as a whole and will not be returning.
