Dr. Chase conducted an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) on my 14 year old daughter who suffers from Selective Mutism. It is Very difficult to test and assess a student who is unable to speak, but Dr. Chase took great time and care and went to great lengths to assure that my daughter was comfortable and as at ease as possible in order to get the best results possible. Dr. Chase came to our home on two occasions to conduct the testing, so that my daughter was in her familiar setting. She provided test materials that could be administered to a student unable to speak and her findings are key in allowing my daughters EDUCATIONAL NEEDS to be documented, understood and met by her educators. Dr. Chase came to my daughter's school for her IEP planning meeting and provided her report, but more importantly and effectively, she made a PRESENTATION, carefully illustrating her findings, so that the educators were able to understand what the testing uncovered and what her actual… abilities and levels currently are. Because of Dr. Chase's information, my daughter can FINALLY, be met, where she is academically with the appropriate educational material. Dr. Chase also provided additional resources and articles to even better serve my daughters needs. Not only did she provide these for me, the mother, but also for the members of my daughters educational team. I highly recommend Dr. Chase. She is extremely knowledgable, professional and compassionate.
