Every time I went to her I had a list of things she wanted blood drawn for every single time. She needs to retire, I heard the entire story of why her son worked at the office, and how they went through bankruptcy

She is so stupid She doesn't care about her patients it's the money she made me wait all day to see her and then did not spend 10 minutes with me and told me she had to go it was time to close never went back

Like so many others have written, I would give ZERO stars or even negative stars if that were an option. I've seen her 4 times & the closest she has to seeing my on time is 40 minutes past my appointment time. Of course that's better than the time she was 2 1/2 hours past my appointment time. Perhaps if she spent less time talking about her personal life she would get patients out quicker. The last time saw her she spent 30 minutes talking about her childhood. It took everything I had to bite my tongue. I so bad wanted to tell her that I was her psychiatrist & perhaps she should be paying me for these appointments.

As other commenters have written, her time management skills leave much to be desired. I had to reserve 2 hours for each appointment because I would spend up to an hour in the waiting room. The 2 pharmacists in my family questioned the doses of things she prescribed me. I know so much about this woman because she talked so much about herself at each appointment. I had to make a point to make sure she had my complete medical history because she wanted an oral history that she wrote down by hand (no forms to fill out) and she didn't ask important questions that pertained to my medical history (for example history of thyroid issues in my family, etc.). She would collect payment personally in the "exam" room at the beginning of the appointment and she only took cash or check. She detailed for me the financial reasons why she did not provide certain services anymore (PAPs, vaccinations, etc.) even though I had not asked for said services. The "records" room was a complete mess. And… she employs her son (who she said was an English major, so no medical background) because he knows that he doesn't know answers to medical questions so he will refer those questions to her whereas when she used to employ nurses they would make up answers to such questions. Do not recommend.

Went to see Dr. Barnes after having a friend refer me to her. First time I saw her she seemed eccentric to say the least. I had blood work taken and went back for a follow up with her to read the results. Sat in waiting room for a half hour past the appt time, at this point she came out and told me that her luck had just arrived and she was going to eat before I came back. I didn't get to see her until an hour after my scheduled appt time. She hadn't even reviewed my lab results yet, she did it right in front of me while I was in the exam room with her waiting, as if we weren't running behind schedule enough. I also informed her I needed to be on valtrex as a preventative measure bc my partner at the time had herpes. She was refusing to write me more than a one month prescription at first until I threw a fit (my partner at the time was recieving a year prescription at a time). Eventually she agreed to a 6 month after my insistence. This should have been my first clue she was going to… attempt to get me for money. I called in to ger office in a little less than six months and she proceeded to tell me she would not refill my prescription until I came to her office and also had blood work done again. I can't imagine why I would need blood work done that often, for a prescription that is intended for me to avoid contracting an STD, unless they are just out for my money. She was rude on the phone everytime I contacted her and her punctuality is pathetic. Im unable to fathom how she can possibly still be practicing medicine with her outdated office/instruments as well as her unprofessional bedside manner. No one wants to hear all about your personal life and issues when they've already been waiting to see you for an hour dr. Barnes. If I could rate this office negative stars I would!

Dr Barnes told me all about her bamkruptcycase. She told me she had a bullet who had been with her for years and she cheated Dr Barnes. She didnt know if her and her middle aged son would eat that night

I asked Dr Barnes for an itemized statement. She got very upset and proceeded to tell me she couldnt believe after our long relationship that I would ask such a thing. Apparently she turns her billing over to untrustworthy people. I proceeded about 3 weeks later to be fired by her. All over a question. I never complained about the 2 hour wait for appointment or her unprofessional behavior or why I had to get labs every single time I went to her.

This provider is very rude and I would not recommend her services to anyone. She talks down to you and acts if everyone is beneath her. Very arrogant. Karma is a --------. The day will come when you will need services from someone that you currently feel is beneath you and I hope they treat you as badly as you treat other people. Your phone etiquette is horrible.

Terrible professionalism. Extremely disrespectful and arrogant. Would not recommend to anyone. Regret sitting through the entire appointment, should have walked out.
