Cheryl Bixby

Cheryl Bixby is a Registered Dietitian at Intermountain Health's Riverton Hospital Riverton, Utah. She is passionate about helping individuals and families feel confident, informed, and empowered in their nutrition choices. She believes that good nutrition should be practical, personalized, and achievable, helping patients reach their health goals in a way that fits their unique lifestyle.

Cheryl's clinical interests include general nutrition, prediabetes and diabetes management, weight management, chronic kidney disease, liver health, digestive conditions, and women's health. She also has experience supporting patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroparesis, celiac disease, disaccharidase deficiency, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), and concerns related to body image, intuitive eating, and developing a healthy relationship with food.

Cheryl became a dietitian because she loves food and loves helping people. Nutrition is often more straightforward …than it seems, and she is dedicated to helping patients navigate confusion and misinformation so they can make informed choices and achieve lasting success.

Cheryl especially enjoys visits where patients leave feeling relieved, more confident, and equipped with practical tools to nourish themselves or their loved ones. She believes shame, judgment, and weight bias have no place in healthcare and strives to create a supportive environment where every patient feels respected and understood.
