Dr. Cherylyn Kaye Black, MD

I live quite a distance from lynnfield so found new practice closer. All I was allowed to see were nurse practitioners never a doctor. So I went back to dr black who sees me every time and is very good at finding solutions for difficult medical issues

I have the dubious distinction of being a psyciatric illness. Most primary care doctors don't look very hard to find the source of your pain because after all they believe it is your mental illness but she is bright enough to know that even the mentally ill get heart disease and I have respiratory issues that she is on top of all the time. Here's 5 thumbs up for dr black!

Dr black is just what I need. I take medicines for depression and almost every doctor I have had in the past has treated me disrespectfully or not tried to find my real diagnosis they have said it is just my depression. I have never felt rushed or degraded. Ask any patient on a psyche med how important that is. They will all agree with me

Told me I had mono...actually had type 1 diabetes. Ended up in hospital on the verge of a diabetic coma the next day. Hospital staff was disgusted and outraged at the misdiagnosis. Told her I was dehydrated and thirsty but it was nowhere in my visit notes. Leave quick!

This woman does not care about her patients at all. I've always felt rushed and she has a way of making you feel like your a burden to her. Its actually disturbing to realize someone in her position could be so careless about peoples health and well being. On top of all of this the office staff is rude and non helpful. Please do yourself and favor and stay away from this practice

I have been a patient of Dr.Blackâ??s for 8 years. I have always made appointments that work for my schedule with no problem I have never waited for more than 10 minutes for my appointment but do make them for the morning. The wmen that handle the telephones are wonderful wth getting what you need. I have developed a comfortable relationship with Dr. Black and respect her expertise. I take full control of my health care and she complements this effort. I have never felt rushed at any visit I have had with her and I always go with a list. But I am also prepared for anything I may need to discuss with her. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

I do not recommend this doctor. She does not spend any time with her patients, you cannot get in touch with her or the nurse and she'll just refer you out to another MD no matter what your complaint is. I tried to refill a prescription and when insurance denied coverage she just said "oh too bad" and never gave me options of other medications to take instead. You'll fall through the cracks with her.

Overall, do not find that I'm satisfied with any office visit. In the process of finding a new doctor. When I've had visits with Dr. Black I find that she seems generally disinterested in helping me and I often feel like the treatment she recommends is a placebo.
