Dr. Chinyere M Ugwanyi

Chinyere is a Board-Certified, Licensed Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a BSN degree from Shenandoah University, an MSN degree from the University of Cincinnati, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Chatham University—all with honors. Chinyere has 13 years of healthcare experience with 12 years of that as a psychiatric nurse and 7 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, providing psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and medication management to patients with varying degrees of mental illness, in inpatient/outpatient settings. In addition, Chinyere has worked in a major community mental health system alongside nursing homes and feels comfortable working with a variety of mental and behavioral health conditions, including serious mental illnesses She has expertise in treating mainly adult patients but can work with adolescent patients as well. She treats patients with disorders that include anxiety, depression, personality disorders, ADHD, PTSD, substance …abuse, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Chinyere’s approach to care for her patients is straightforward and clear. She is very professional, caring, respectful, and strives to offer personalized mental health services.
