Dr. Chloe Carmichael, MD

I had heard criticisms of Chloe Carmichael, but decided to form my own opinion from direct experience. In short, I found her to have some issues of her own. She's a bit abrasive, unfocused, and seems to rely on expectations of her marketing efforts and self-promotion to represent her, rather then on making a genuine and personal effort to demonstrate regard for one who might consider her services. I knew Chloe was too inexperienced for me, so I requested a senior therapist. In what seemed to be a bitter and scornful response, Chloe assigned me to her most junior associate, I later learned. If Chloe had discounted my request in good faith (or by being unfocused, as noted earlier), I can only imagine that she would have done so for regard of her mechanized approach to therapy, wherein the value of an experienced therapist is set on par with that of an inexperienced therapist. After all, the therapist doesn't matter, Chloe may think, if all therapists in her practice follow… the same processes. Chloe has a lot to learn about therapy. I have to join those who say, "If you want a good therapist, pass on Chloe Carmichael." When Chloe and I talked, she did described her operation as structured with exercises, as if she has built a processed-based model. I see it as the fast-food business model, where good marketing and a step-by-step formula are used to maximize profit for the business. The issue may not be whether or not Chloe uses the fast-food business model for her practice... For me, I question Chloe's regard for the patient and her understanding of her profession.
