Summary
I am not a native Southern Californian but wish that I were. I was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to this beautiful country as a child. When I was a young child, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor so that I could make a real difference in people's lives, and practicing medicine gives that opportunity. I have been an anesthesiologist for over 19 years. I started my Kaiser Permanente career in 1999 and was in private practice before then. Just recently, I transitioned into my administrative role as the chief of the Anesthesia Department for Kaiser Permanente San Diego. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente both as a clinician and as an administrator who is working to make our organization the best health care delivery system in the country.
