This doctor prescribed gold powder for my son's anxiety and depression and charged us over $200 for the visit.

I have been his patient for close to 30 years. Needless to say I think he is a good doctor who has helped me for a long time. I trust him to figure out the cause and not just treat a symptom. My husband also is his patient. We dread the day he retires. He takes the time with each patient that person needs He is not a 15 minute in and out doctor ruled by a clock thank God. He asks questions that I have never had other doctors ask because he wants to understand you and what is happening in your life. Every friend I have recommended him to has called to thank me.

I have been seeing Dr. Wessling for over twenty years. At my first visit, he took 45 minutes to listen to me and toward the end of the visit, he asked me a question that helped me understand the source of my pain (chronic pinched nerves). He is not the kind of doctor that rushes in, prescribes a med and races out to see the next patient. He has a much more holistic approach and has a natural ability to intuit what is best for me. Contrary to some of the previous reviews, I have found him to be humble. He listens to what I think I need and trusts that I know my own body better than he does. Similarly, if he suggests a treatment, I trust his expertise. Whether you are looking for a natural path towards health or a conventional path to healing, I highly recommend Dr. Wessling and thank him for his years of service to me, my family and the St. Louis community!

This guy is beyond arrogant. Please find another doctor if you actually want anything near compassionate treatment. He is rude, gruff, does not listen, and possesses doubtful ability as a legit doctor. The only reason for the one star is because of the staff at the clinic.

If you want a doctor who is conservative about ordering prescriptions & thinks holistically about your health Dr Wessling is great.

Yes, I hate waiting! An hour to get there, an hour to get home and waiting over an hour. BUT, this doctor is highly intelligent and gets it right. I have an unusual genetic, not terrible, situation. It took him awhile. But, most doctors do not recognize this yet. So they would not test for it. He and Cindy straightened out my thyroid problem, too. He is not a chatty doctor. He is direct. The office staff has always been helpful. They do not have time to socialize. If you want a doctor who will tell you what you want to hear and an office staff who has the time to chat, keep looking. But if you want a doctor and a staff with which you can build a relationship, you might be satisfied.

Dr. Wessling is an unusual physician--he has a sense of humor, which puts me at ease. He discusses options with me and makes recommendations, but leaves decisions to me (although he can be insistent). He truly makes me a partner in my health care.

Dr. Wessling is our primary care and family physician for the past 5 or so years. He is kind, open-minded. He treats each patient with respect in regards to any questions or suggestions we have for our own health care. His staff is second to none. They are also kind and courteous. I highly recommend Dr. Wessling.
