Dr. Christina E Lewicky Gaupp, MD

So glad I got a second opinion after seeing Dr. Lewicky and feeling that her recommendations didn't seem to make sense. Her go-to solution seems to be hysterectomy to fix non-uterus related issues. She told me that to fix a certain issue, my uterus HAD to be removed, which I found strange-and the second doctor I saw confirmed there is another procedure which can address the problem w/o removing my uterus. Dr. Lewicky never told me that! I'm in my early 30's! Also, the second doctor advised against some of the recommendations I had been offered by Dr. Lewicky and explained why they were not a good idea. She never explained my issues in detail, never explained WHY my uterus needed to be removed to address my other problem; she just gave me pamphlets and told me to read them and call when I decided what I wanted to do! If she truly cared about her patients, she would have informed me that there IS an option to correct the problem w/o a hysterectomy- it's just that SHE doesn't do it/know… how to do it, etc. Disgusted and angry that I could have lost my uterus at such a young age without it actually being necessary!

A thoroughly knowledgeable physician who explains medical conditions and treatment options in understandable terms. Dr. Lewicky-Gaupp positively impressed me not only with her knowledge and experience in treating patients with pelvic organ prolapse but, also, with her respect for me, her patient.
