Dr. Christina Holtz, DO

My health deteriorated “thanks” to seeing Dr. Holtz, and the side effects of all the medicines that she prescribed for me. From day to night she changed my birth control without consulting me. That made me gain weight. Lots. She prescribed anxiety meds that made me gain weight too, and I let her know, and she did not really want to believe me. She changed the meds, but the damage was done. Due to this weight gain, I am suffering from cronic plantar fasciitis. It is so painful that I can’t work out to my full potential, so I cannot lose weight easily. I am glad she is not my doctor anymore. Honestly, it is the worst care I have ever received.

Dr. Christina Holtz, was the 3rd doctor I visited for the same issue. The previous doctors were males.. not sure if this is why they did not take my situation seriously. Neither male doctor was able to help. When I visited Dr. Christina Holtz, she spend time questioning me about my issue. She then referred me to specialist. After seeing the specialist, the advise was to have physical therapy. The physical therapy helped me greatly. Not sure why the previous male doctors never referred me.. even when I called in several times, explaining that I was still having issues.

If I could give zero stars I would. The experience with this company was absolutely the most horrific situations i've had in my entire life and I'm well over my 30s in age. I scheduled what i thought would be a"routine" visit that is covered by my insurance. Apparently it was for a lot more than that. They ran all these tests and never even mentioned that in the end I would end up paying almost 300.00 upfront and THEN get a bill for over 100.00 that ended up being sent to collections and I had NO idea that was going to happen because i had been in dispute with their office manager who claimed she spoke to me and explained everything HOWEVER, i was under the impression she was still checking into it until I saw it show up on my credit report. I have been trying to get this removed for over 3 months now and currently in the process of buying a home so I can't have anything negative show up on my credit. ESPECIALLY for just over 100.00 that I most certainly could have paid BUT wasn't… going to until after the office manager got back with me which didn't happen until I called her back again after i saw this item on my credit. Now i have a new collections on my credit and it should have never gotten that far. I have been trying to dispute this for over 4 months now and no resolutions with the office nor the billing department for THP. This is the WORST experience i have ever dealt with and I will NEVER go back to any facility associated with TEXAS HEALTH PHYSICIANS GROUP in my life

Saw Dr. Holtz (her spouse; same practice) who was very good.

Dr. Christina Holtz is one of the most caring doctors I have ever had. She spends quality time, staff is wonderful, she really cares about her patients. I had a serious injury and in the past doctors are uncaring quick to dismiss your health questions. Dr. Holtz can give classes to othe doctors that need to improve their business. My husband and friends are very impressed with how she treated me through a injury that caused me to be out of work for almost six months. It is sad in my 50 years this is the only doctor I can actually say really cares about her patients. Family and friends have asked me for her information because of my treatment. Her staff makes you feel at ease and when I leave a message they always return my call in a timely manner. I am ever so greatful to Dr. Christina Holtz and her staff.

Just be careful If you disagree or do not do what she says you will be dismissed as a patient and will not beable to use any doctors in the medhealth network
