Dr. Michaelis has handled my indications of hyperthyroidism with good judgement and careful advice. She has a calm and confident manner and knows how to help her patients work their way through healthcare problems thoughtfully.

She is on time. Disects your issues to be precise with her recommendations for you. My A1c has come down with her plan for me!!!

I love Dr. Michealis since the 1st time I met her she was great. I was shocked to read such condemning and kurt comments about her. She really listens to problems you may be experiencing and she diagnoses your problems and makes changes as needed. She has a great bedside manner and she is very caring and doesn't treat me like a number. She will give me samples and if I can tolerate the samples then I will turn in the prescription. I hope anyone looking for a great endocrinologist will give her the opportunity to be her doctor. Don't let a few negative comments deter you from missing out. By the way I haven't had to wait long to see her. Thanks for your time.

Its unfortunate that a doctor can be judge on the unprofessionalism and rudeness of their staff. Well that is exactly what happened here. Doctors need to understand that their reputation starts with their office staff. I didn't even get to see Dr. Michaelis, I had a late afternoon appt, took off from work to be there & when I got there (about 15-20mins later) l was told that the Dr. would not be in and I could see a different Dr. that was there or I could reschedule the appt. I asked why wasn't I called and given those choices before my scheduled appt. The response was "we just found out this morning" and I asked the question again and the receptionist said "do you want to speak with the office manager?" When I spoke with the "so called office manager" ~ he was very rude and a real jerk. His basic answer to my question was "Oh we don't call our patients to reschedule" He also said either I see the other doctor that was there or I can go to a different office.

I called Dr. Michaelis every day for 4 days before I received a call back. My prescription was incorrectly written and I wanted to discuss side effects I was having with new medication. I was told by the doctor that a increase of appetite was not a side effect of Synthroid which she's ever heard of. Please..anyone just Google this to see how she could have not known this. I would wake up in middle of the night with hunger headaches. When I tried explaining this to her I was cut off and rushed off the phone. Wasted my time and money and now I'm looking for a provider within this specialty who has time to hear me out and is genuinely concerned about my well being.

I found Dr. Michaelis to be an excellent doctor with a very caring and kind bedside manner. She takes her time with you and listens to what you say. She also researches information you may need. I have and will continue to refer people to her.
