Dr Contreras is an amazing doctor. From my first visit over one year ago, she has consistently taken the time and has cared enough to listen to my symptoms and build a full picture of my health situation. She ordered appropriate labs and tests to understand the full picture - not just following the known health issues I have, but what else might be going on. Because of this careful attention, she identified a very rare autoimmune disorder that had gone undiagnosed for over 13 years -- and has worked to find the best medications to meet my needs and improve my life. Thanks to Dr Contreras for the first time in over 13 years I am able to dress myself, able to bend and touch my toes, and go through a day pain free. Other doctors just ignored the problem - often I left feeling they believed this was just in my mind or an excuse for a lack of self-care. From the moment I met Dr Contreras she has treated me as a patient with a great deal of self-knowledge and willingness to follow a… treatment plan -- she gave me back my life and my self-worth. I consider her the best doctor I have ever seen - and I have seen many!

Dr. Contreras keeps her schedule so booked that you feel rushed every time you have an appointment. If you are sick and needing antibiotics or steroids you are out of luck because she keeps herself overbooked a month out. Her staff isn't responsive or friendly, I had to repeat myself 5 times that I didn't consent to having more blood drawn, yet I still had to jump out of my seat when the nurse still tried to clean my arm to start drawing blood - all because he spoke no English. Unprofessional environment and don't feel taken care of at all.

Dr. Contreras is the most thorough doctor I have ever seen. She found a problem that I have had for years and no other doctor caught. I was amazed at how thorough she is.

Dr. Contreras is, with much certainly, the best physician I've ever met in my life. Being the only physician in the clinic, I'm astounded by the sheer amount of care and compassion she provides to every patient. Sure, wait times will vary, but you're waiting for one of the best physicians in south Texas.
