Dr. Christine Hom, MD

Dismissive, rude, inferred my daughter a liar. Misdiagnosed then changed the diagnosis & re-diagnosed my daughter! Basically said I was not strict enough with her. The nerve of her. Well a year later a geneticist and another doctored diagnosed my daughter with EDS. How in the world did she miss that one. Hyper mobile joints are a symptom of the disease! Ignored the spontaneous tendinitis we went to see her about. Can’t believe she is still employed..I don’t believe there are goo reviews of this doctor either. Always get a second opinion!

Do not go here, make the drive and go to NYC or NJ. Worst pediatric rheumatologist. Dismissive and non-responsive. Does not want to hear about concerns and would rather shut you down and make snide comments about you as a parent being neurotic about your child. We see our kids day after day and have to be able to advocate for their care. This is not the philosophy that Dr. Hom subscribes to and as a result my child has permanent joint damage due to her being dismissive and not treating aggressively. Would give zero stars if I could.

Do yourself a favor and travel to NYC or NJ - worst pediatric rheumatologist. Misses many obvious issues. Joint damage is permanent and painful, no excuse for lifetime damage.

This is the first doctor that my son can’t wait to see. She’s so empathetic, caring and straight to the point. I love how direct she is while being caring at the same time. We are so happy she’s our family rheumatologist!

We met Dr. Hom in May, 2018 after she diagnosed our son with JIA. Honestly the first visit was a bit of a fog. We did not expect a diagnoses that would affect our son for life. I think we stood in a bit of a shock as Dr Hom discussed what our next steps would be. I will be honest for Dr. Hom it was diagnosing another patient and it felt a bit cold but looking back we are so glad that stuck with Dr. Hom. During this 1st visit Dr. Hom encouraged us to consider attending a juvenile arthritis walk to meet other JIA families. We really were still processing everything but decided to attend the walk. To our surprise Dr Hom was there and we watched as she genuinely interacted with her patients and their families. My son was excited to see Dr. Hom outside of the medical office. That day Dr. Hom introduced us to many JIA families and we felt so lucky to have a doctor who is so dedicated to supporting her patients, their families and the Arthritis Foundation. Since then we have had many… appointments with Dr. Hom and we are extremely grateful that we have chosen her to be our son's doctor. The office is run efficiently and Dr Hom gives you her undivided attention during an office visit, after hours or even squeezing us in for an emergency office visit. If you are looking for a Pediatric Rheumatologist...look no further!

Dr. Him has the worst bedside manners from a doctor I have ever experienced. My sons rare diagnosis of Takayasu Arteritis has left us seeing Sumerians doctors and she is horrible. My son didn't like her. She basically called him a liar. She doesn't listen to the problem. She does not look at history. I think she is unqualified to handle children. We saw her twice because we had to but chose to go out of state and discontinue care with her. Do not go to her she will not listen to you or believe your symptoms!

I was absolutely in shock by Dr. Hom's rude and know-it-all behavior. I felt highly violated by her; she gave me a complete (when I say complete, I mean complete!) physical exam in areas that were not even the slightest way, relative to my symptoms. She shut down all of my concerns, not to mention the fact that she told me my blood results were false positives. She basically called me a hypochondriac, telling me that my illness was all in my head. My ankle was so swollen it looked like a large red balloon! Don't know how I can make that up! I left her office feeling terrible and absolutely violated! Whatever you do, don't go to this doctor if you want an adequate and mindful physician
