Horrible experience with nurse practitioner Christine Kim! I am in an extremely high risk group for breast cancer as every woman in my family has died of it, all young! I was seeing Kim for exams every few months until last year when l grew tired of her nonchalant attitude. I get a mammogram every year at the Breast Health Center at CPMC, but it requires a referral. I requested a referral from her today as CPMC is booked months in advance! When you are in a very high risk group as l am, months could cost you your life! She refused to see me and referred me to any other doctor but her! I was just stunned! She could have easily asked if l wanted to come into the office to see her to meet her strict criteria, but she refused. This is incredibly unethical and inexcusable! If you are at a very high risk for breast cancer, l would avoid this so-called health professional at all costs!
